Additionally, the supervisor will provide support to the shop floor on engineering questions and ensure that installation engineering meets the schedule to support our schedule. What you’ll do Provide leadership and direction to the Installation Design Team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Oversee the creation of SolidWorks 3D models, 2D shop drawings, and BOMs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to customer-specific quotes, design requirements, and safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design ambiguities, ensure customer design approval, and manage project timelines. Ensure the accuracy of outsourced body designs and deliver all relevant information to production teams to guarantee successful builds and high customer satisfaction. Support production teams by troubleshooting design-related challenges and providing effective solutions. Oversee the completion of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for documentation control and release updates. Work closely with vendors to confirm that purchased components meet specifications and support the assembly process. Apply engineering principles to develop or improve existing products and processes. Ensure that installation engineering meets the schedule to support the production schedule, keeping everything on track and running smoothly. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is required. Proficiency in 3D design software (SolidWorks preferred). Proven leadership experience in a design or engineering environment. Strong knowledge of technical writing, blueprint reading, and advanced problem-solving techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Knowledge of lean principles and their application in production environments.
