Drive innovation by developing and evaluating new process or product ideas. Lead a high-performing team by setting clear goals, managing performance, resolving conflicts, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports for leadership. We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager to support the Powertrain Development and Engineering (PDE) team.  The role will be focused on processing and executing highly technical and time sensitive projects that support enables the test and build of electric powertrain products. The Role: Collect and organize EV powertrain test and build requirements to support the identification and establishment of lab equipment.   Perform cost benefit analysis of high value equipment. Support project engineers by providing validated milestones and requirements that aligns with facility and powertrain program timelines. Align with facility updates and integrate with project execution schedules. Perform and maintain a continuous risk mitigation. Collect technical and commercial variables that would support the planning and decision matrix related to parallel lab implementations. Process change management that arise due to unforeseen development requirements. Maintain accurate and detailed library of technical documentation. Devise strategic plans that optimizes existing facility and equipment capabilities to support powertrain development projects. Develop and implement tools that helps optimize the processing and sharing of technical details. Determine resource requirements and potential impacts. Evaluate the workmanship of designers and contractors to suggest and highlight critical improvements. Qualifications: 8+ years experience with bachelor’s degree or 6+ years and master’s degree. Strong knowledge of electrical & mechanical engineering fundamentals. Ability to study & understand electrical & electronic schematic & layouts. Exposure to automotive test equipment. Exposure to AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Experience working with facility planners and contractors to estimate and deploy test labs. Experience with utilizing and implementing planning tools for timelines, budget, risk management, communication, etc. Ability to develop and optimize equipment layouts. Self-start with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Translate equipment specifications and requirements to facility capability. Ability to be flexible and responsive. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various disciplines within the organization. Familiarity of developing Good written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: EV Test Experience. Familiar with fabrication, assembly of fixtures and wiring. Managing multiple highly visible and time sensitive projects in parallel. Implementation of powertrain labs from inception to operation. Experience working on projects that require building permits. Knowledge of architectural and structural disciplines. Able to function at a high level and to effectively change direction based upon business needs. Education: Minimum – BE/BS in the areas of Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering. Job Description

The Engineering Manager leads the engineering department, overseeing the design, installation, and improvement of production equipment and facility infrastructure. This role ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, drives continuous improvement, and manages capital projects and maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with Safety & Health standards, including cGMP and quality procedures; actively support safety training, hazard prevention, and site analysis.
    • Manage the site engineering department, overseeing fixed costs, capital expenditures, and execution of improvement projects (scoping, funding, supervision, and commissioning).
    • Partner with Maintenance to prioritize and balance planned and reactive work across teams.
    • Provide technical leadership to drive long-term solutions that reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
    • Lead and develop hourly, salaried, and contract personnel through scheduling, training, and performance management.
    • Maintain accurate plant asset data to support maintenance; coordinate with vendors on parts, quotes, and orders.
    • Support capital project development, troubleshooting, process changes (MOC), and documentation of procedures.
    • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Business units to advance process improvements, evaluate technologies, and align with strategic goals.
    • Drive innovation by developing and evaluating new process or product ideas.
    • Lead a high-performing team by setting clear goals, managing performance, resolving conflicts, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
    • Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports for leadership.

Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
    • 5+ years in engineering management; maintenance leadership a plus
    • Experience with CAPEX projects and industrial maintenance practices (PM, CMMS, RCM, TPM)
    • Knowledge of engineering safety standards
    • Preferred: process control systems, control I/O, and PLC programming
    • Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
    • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot control logic and components
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to maintain accurate, detailed reports and documentation
    • Proven leadership skills with experience in team development

    • Familiarity with mechanical conveying and processing equipment, including:
    • Screw, drag, and belt conveyors
    • Bucket elevators, dust collectors, rotary valves
    • Centrifugal pumps, compressors, blowers, fans
    • Mills, centrifuges, rotary dryers, and tanks

Environmental and/or Physical Requirements:

    • Frequent standing, bending, climbing (ladder/stairs), temperature changes, and plant field visits
    • Occasional lifting (Avg 20 lbs-Max 70 lbs), squatting, operating mobile equipment (Cushman/Pick up truck), and office work
