Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direct supervision/management of staff. Team size ~15 people
  • Own planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size contract
  • Provide direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance
  • Oversee projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt and/or exempt employees
  • Become involved when required to assist in meeting schedule deadlines or to resolve technical or operational problems
  • Interpret and execute policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units
  • Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Function as an advisor to unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations
  • Frequent contact with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts
  • Conduct briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal/external representatives concerning specifics operations

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
  • Determine user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
  • Prepare operating instructions, lead Agile ceremonies, establish sprint, and release schedules based on the program release roadmap
  • Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
  • Ensure all capabilities and/or requirements are met

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS + 14 years of exp; MS + 12 years of exp: PhD + 9 years of exp is required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 5 years management experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams in roles of Chief Engineer, SEIT Lead, System Architect, Product Owner
  • Proven leadership skills as a people and technical leader
  • Demonstrated Technical Leadership experience, leading a team of engineers in a development environment.
  • Experience with designing and developing new systems using Model Based System Engineering tools including CAMEO.
  • In Depth knowledge of SysML.
  • Experience with Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and coach other teammates.
  • Experience working with Software Development teams and Customer Stakeholders.
  • An ability to interface with external entities is required.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
