Description:Who We Are C2BMC is the integrating element that links the various individual sensor-interceptor-communications elements into one coordinated system protecting against all types of missile threats. This protection spans across multiple regions in any phase of flight providing the warfighter with an integrated global view of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). C2BMC puts the "S" in BMDS. The Work The C2BMC Regional Applications (RA) Engineering Manager (EM) will be responsible for helping ensure engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance for assigned product teams are properly managed. Other responsibilities include: The candidate will be part of the RA leadership team that includes Engineering Project Manager (EPM), other EMs at all C2BMC sites, Lead Product Owner and others. Interface with Control Account Manager (CAMs) and EVM staff to derive cost and schedule performance. Manage dependencies between other product teams and support external dependencies. Identify, Manage, Mitigate/Resolve and Report technical issues. Support proposal development. Ensure product team technical commitments are clearly understood and carried out. Maintain backlog of assigned features to meet technical commitments. Supports the EPM in managing and forecasting technical maturity, including when milestone maturity can be claimed and what Objective Evidence is required to support such a claim. Ensure teams are following organization processes. Produce Estimated Time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM) and other engineering metrics to identify and address all technical or staffing issues while managing cost/schedule. Assist manufacturing and tool engineering with maintaining of tool set-up sheets and tool designs, tool life matrices, set-up and changeover instructions, and rework instructions. Perform and assist manufacturing engineering root cause analysis to eliminate tool breakage, process variation and equipment downtime. Communicate issues for resolution regarding maintenance to Area Manager and/or Engineering Assist with job training for manufacturing technicians and line supervisors regarding the proper operation of new or rebuilt equipment during initial start-up and launch. Conduct routine process audits and layered process audits (LPA) to ensure processes are being maintained within documented parameters. Record on appropriate check lists or other documents. Maintain accurate records of CNC programs per Dana procedures. Work in a safe manner and report unsafe work conditions, equipment or practices to department supervisors or engineers for resolution. C2BMC is the integrating element that links the various individual sensor-interceptor-communications elements into one coordinated system protecting against all types of missile threats. This protection spans across multiple regions in any phase of flight providing the warfighter with an integrated global view of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). C2BMC puts the "S" in BMDS.

The Work

The C2BMC Regional Applications (RA) Engineering Manager (EM) will be responsible for helping ensure engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance for assigned product teams are properly managed.

Other responsibilities include:

  • The candidate will be part of the RA leadership team that includes Engineering Project Manager (EPM), other EMs at all C2BMC sites, Lead Product Owner and others.
  • Interface with Control Account Manager (CAMs) and EVM staff to derive cost and schedule performance.
  • Manage dependencies between other product teams and support external dependencies.
  • Identify, Manage, Mitigate/Resolve and Report technical issues.
  • Support proposal development.
  • Ensure product team technical commitments are clearly understood and carried out.
  • Maintain backlog of assigned features to meet technical commitments.
  • Supports the EPM in managing and forecasting technical maturity, including when milestone maturity can be claimed and what Objective Evidence is required to support such a claim.
  • Ensure teams are following organization processes.
  • Produce Estimated Time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM) and other engineering metrics to identify and address all technical or staffing issues while managing cost/schedule.

  • Executing the ART future vision, standards, and proposals.
  • Acting as primary RA manager in Colorado Springs.

  • Work with EPM to provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements and identify staffing needs.
  • Ensure teams follow organizational processes.
  • Nominally attends all milestone events (in-person when possible).
  • Manage other Regional Apps program projects as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • DOD Security Clearance at Secret or higher level. Top Secret preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field or significant equivalent experience and 14+ years of work related experience or an advanced degree and 12+ years of experience. Advanced degrees preferred.

  • Experience managing and delivering complex DoD systems. Software systems preferred.
