Maintain physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are properly labeled, stored, and easily retrievable. Prepares and edits correspondence, reports, and presentations. Summarizes test outcomes, unit readiness, and delays for leadership. Documents and compiles defect reports for leadership. (failed startups, missing components, discrepancies in wiring, etc.) Schedules and coordinates meetings and appointments. Acts as a bridge between production, Test Rack, and Engineering teams to avoid bottlenecks. Monitors unit status. Maintains testing supplies, equipment, and inventory, ordering as necessary. Ensures test stations are stocked with forms, labels, and office supplies. Handles incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Enters and updates data into databases, spreadsheets, and other digital systems. Utilizes office software and tools, such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Compiles KPIs such as pass/fail rates, average test time, and rework frequency. Assists with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management. Maintains records for Test Rack budget and inventory. Reports process inefficiencies to supervisor. Makes sure team has the latest standard operating procedures provided by management. Assists in fostering an energetic and positive working environment. Mechanical Engineering Co-op Program The Mechanical Engineering Co-op Program with nVent's Electrical Connections (EC) Business is a structured experiential learning program that gives students the opportunity to couple their academic knowledge with practical situations in the workplace, and simultaneously allows nVent to evaluate students as potential direct-hire talent. The Program is rotational between various departments, including Product Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Labs and Compliance, and Digital Media Development. Job Summary: Provides a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation of Test Rack. Supports management and staff by maintaining a well-organized and productive work environment, enabling the Test Rack team to focus on technical startup testing of units before release from production.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Manages and organizes startup test files, documents, and records.

  • Maintain physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are properly labeled, stored, and easily retrievable.

  • Prepares and edits correspondence, reports, and presentations.

  • Summarizes test outcomes, unit readiness, and delays for leadership.

  • Documents and compiles defect reports for leadership. (failed startups, missing components, discrepancies in wiring, etc.)

  • Schedules and coordinates meetings and appointments.

  • Acts as a bridge between production, Test Rack, and Engineering teams to avoid bottlenecks.

  • Monitors unit status.

  • Maintains testing supplies, equipment, and inventory, ordering as necessary.

  • Ensures test stations are stocked with forms, labels, and office supplies.

  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

  • Enters and updates data into databases, spreadsheets, and other digital systems.

  • Utilizes office software and tools, such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

  • Compiles KPIs such as pass/fail rates, average test time, and rework frequency.

  • Assists with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management.

  • Maintains records for Test Rack budget and inventory.

  • Reports process inefficiencies to supervisor.

  • Makes sure team has the latest standard operating procedures

  • provided by management.

  • Assists in fostering an energetic and positive working environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Administrative experience preferred. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
  • Presents a strong, confident, and decisive personality.
  • Possesses strong computer proficiency with experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to accomplish/complete tasks while demonstrating a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and problem solving skills.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressured, team environment.

Work Environment:

  • Lift up to 50lbs.
