Major Responsibilities:

  • Analyze New Technologies: Assess new technologies, market components, and less complex products using basic analytical tools and methods to improve existing designs and expand product lines.

  • Cost Reduction Programs: Assist in Material Cost Out and Simplification programs.

  • Design Test Machines and Procedures: Help design test machines and procedures for nonstandard testing.

  • Problem Solving: Support in solving routine problems with basic problem-solving skills.

  • Product Development: Design and develop new products to meet customer needs.

  • Routine Analysis Projects: Lead portions of routine analysis projects.

  • Design Specification and Documentation: Specify basic design parameters, validate according to existing standards, and prepare required documentation.

  • Support Engineering Projects: Assist Application Engineering, New Product Development (NPD), and Product Engineering projects.

  • Product Analysis: Support product analysis during and after NPD testing or benchmark testing.

  • Statistical and Physical Analysis: Perform statistical and physical analyses on tested IPS products as required.

  • Co-op Projects: Complete other projects as identified in the Co-op Project Plan.

  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all export, import, and supply chain security policy requirements relevant to the position. Follow Regal Ethics and Safety Programs, as well as State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited college/university

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.

  • This is a 3-4 month co-op starting Fall 2025, with preference given to candidates who can commit to multiple terms prior to graduation.

  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Milwaukee, WI.

  • Ability to adjust to varying priorities and project lists.

  • Preferred experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro-E, Solid Edge).

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with presentation skills, with all levels of employees, management, and vendors.
