HDR is currently looking for an On-Site Engineer/ Representative for a large data center that will be constructed in the in Lebanon, Indiana. The individual will be employed by HDR Engineering, the prime design consultant and Engineer of Record. The position does not involve inspection or contractor management but serves as a liaison between the owner, design team, and general contractor regarding construction issues as they relate to design changes needed. The individual will facilitate information flow from the construction team to the design team and support the owner, contractor, project team, and others performing work on the project. The individual will be working at the Lebanon, Indiana project site full time. In the role of Onsite Engineering Representative I, we'll count on you to: The individual will be the single point of communication during the construction phase Design and construction document management and revision control Determine if the work is proceeding in substantial conformity with the design plans Provide design document review and coordination across multiple design disciplines Must have experienced-based knowledge of specifications to know when it is appropriate or necessary to elevate issues to the design team Facilitate daily communication with the owner, design team, and contractor Work in the field to perform observation and other construction phase services safely and independently Preferred Qualifications Understanding of the building, fire, mechanical, plumbing and electrical codes as well as seismic and sway (anchorage and bracing) requirements Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities of the owner EIT or PE License Data center experience Previous construction experience with a consulting firm Ability to interpret construction schedules Able to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineering team and align with any construction changes Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents Must be able to work in a team environment Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position What We Believe HDR is our company. Job Description

Our wearable technology monitors vital physiological metrics to offer personalized insights that enhance fitness, health, and recovery.

WHOOP is building an Ecosystem team to expand what WHOOP can do through third-party companies, app partners, and vendors. As an Engineering Manager, you will jumpstart this team from the ground up-hiring and developing engineers while driving delivery of the core integration platform, partner-facing APIs, and operational processes that enable high-quality integrations at scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and lead the Ecosystem engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management, while fostering a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement
  • Lead technical planning and delivery across multiple workstreams, including defining milestones, sequencing work, identifying dependencies and risks, and communicating tradeoffs and timelines to stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Security, and Legal/Privacy partners, as well as third-party companies, app partners, and vendors, to define requirements and deliver high-quality integration experiences
  • Establish the technical strategy and architecture for ecosystem services and integration patterns (for example partner onboarding, authentication and authorization, webhooks, data ingestion/export pipelines, and event-driven workflows)
  • Ensure operational excellence for ecosystem services, including reliability, observability, incident response, and on-call readiness
  • Drive engineering standards and best practices for software development, testing, documentation, and secure-by-default API design

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience managing and growing software engineering teams, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management
  • Strong technical background building and operating backend systems in production, with meaningful experience delivering integrations with external partners and/or third-party services (for example partner-facing APIs, webhooks, and data ingestion/export)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through technical planning and execution in ambiguous environments, delivering iteratively while maintaining quality and reliability
  • Experience working effectively across functions and with external partners, aligning stakeholders on scope, priorities, and measurable outcomes
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including service ownership and production monitoring (for example Amazon Web Services (AWS))
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bonus: Experience building developer platforms or integration programs (for example partner enablement, documentation, sandbox environments, or internal developer tooling)

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
