Job Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable building performance. Lead, train, coach, and evaluate engineering staff including supervisors and maintenance technicians. Manage and execute the preventive maintenance (PM) program for all building systems and equipment. Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and improvement opportunities. Coordinate and supervise major repairs, capital projects, and contracted maintenance work. Maintain documentation of work orders, inspection logs, PM schedules, and compliance records. Ensure all equipment and building systems comply with OSHA, fire/life safety, and regulatory standards. Manage inventory, tools, equipment, and parts to support efficient operations. Assist with the development and management of the engineering budget, including labor, supplies, and capital planning. Respond promptly to guestroom and public area maintenance calls. Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to support guest satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe engineering shop and mechanical spaces. Serve as the point of contact during emergencies and lead response efforts for system failures. Perform additional duties as assigned by property or regional leadership.
