As a Avionics Intern based at Rocket Lab's site in Long Beach, California, you will have the opportunity to support the Neutron team in the development and implementation of the electromechanical components involved with the Archimedes engine and energetic systems. You will contribute to current and future engine architectures and energetic systems. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities In this role you will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Be responsible for system and subsystem-level design requirements. Define and manage interfaces to all subsystems in compliance with the system solution. Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirement. Conduct component and product integration for maximum performance and operability. Define system validation plans, execute system validation testing, and work with test engineers to ensure traceability satisfies project objectives. Work with the Engineering Project Manager to generate and execute design review matrices and reviews. Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. Take ownership of technical concepts, solutions, risks/mitigation plans, and engineering cost estimates on proposals. Our Electron rocket has become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered more than 230 satellites to orbit, all while we work to develop Neutron, our upcoming medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Our Space Systems business designs and builds our extensive line of satellites, payloads, and their components, including spacecraft that have been selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.

As a Avionics Intern based at Rocket Lab's site in Long Beach, California, you will have the opportunity to support the Neutron team in the development and implementation of the electromechanical components involved with the Archimedes engine and energetic systems. You will contribute to current and future engine architectures and energetic systems.

COMPENSATION AND OTHER BENEFITS

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
