The Work

This position will be the Site Lead and technical SME overseeing technical services support of a hardened transportable MET satellite terminal in Saudi Arabia. Responsible for the oversight of operating, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of Satellite Terminal systems, including connectivity to local and wide area networks, end-to end telecommunications, circuit switching systems, and Long-Haul communications/Transmissions systems.

This lead will be responsible for generation and staffing of the site shift schedules, will have oversight to ensure all operational requirements are met and logistics/maintenance is performed as required.

The lead will coordinate all site activities and issues with O&M and Program leadership teams. Basic Qualifications:

  • A final TS clearance is required prior to starting
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Experienced in Project Management, Planning, and Resource Management.
  • Extensive skills and background in SATCOM principals, operations, maintenance, and repair
  • Skilled in utilizing common SATCOM test equipment
  • Solid understanding of signal flow and end-to-end configuration diagrams for circuits
  • Sound knowledge of Network System Administration
  • Experience working with Microsoft and LINUX operating system environments/platforms
  • Experience with TACLANE encryption devices and Crypto Device Loaders such as SKLs
  • Experience with CISCO routers and switches

Desired Skills:

  • TS/SCI is a plus
  • Proven leadership experience; Solid & demonstrated team builder with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Prior military satellite communications technician US Navy ET NEC 1465, US Air Force AFSC 2E1X1, US Army MOS 31S/25S, or US Marine Corps MOS 2827
  • PAAWNS experience
  • MET experience
  • HEMP hardening maintenance and HEMP hardening testing experience
  • A mix of strategic and tactical satellite communications experience
  • CCNA certification is a plus
  • Basic Linux or RedHat-based server administration experience
  • Prior leadership and management experience
  • Basic experience with operations, preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on generators, HVAC/ECU climate controlled systems
  • EBEM experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
