Position Summary: Assist lead engineers with scans, designs, and technical drawings. Assist with vehicle disassemble/reassembly, prototyping, test fitment, inputting into ERP software, and finalizing new products for production. Position Responsibilities: Utilize 3D scanner to provide reference data for part design. Utilize Solidworks to design prototypes within the specifications outlined by the engineering team. Ensure prototypes meet strategic objectives through design reviews with engineering team. Source necessary components for part assembly and test fitment. Hand off to purchasing for ordering of components and account setup if necessary for production quantities. Complete technical drawings and laser ready files for internal parts as well as external parts for job shop customers. Use basic mechanical knowledge to disassemble/reassemble and test fit parts on vehicles. Input 3d models, weld models, technical drawings, and laser files into ERP software for prototyping and production. Input labor steps and estimated labor times into ERP software with the assistance of the engineering team. Output jobs through ERP software for prototyping and production parts. Build quotes for job shop customers and output jobs upon quote approval and receipt of purchase order. Maintain organization on multiple projects concurrently. Complete projects in an efficient and timely manner. Ask questions and consult with the engineering team to ensure projects are completed within the desired timeline. Maintain shop organization and cleanliness. Follow current processes as well as drive changes to increase efficiency. Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: High degree of technical, hands-on ability with complex assemblies and components Experience in Solidworks Familiar with MS Office and related products Must be able to manage time effectively Ability to use basic hand tools, welder, and handheld grinding equipment to assist in tacking/assembly of parts when needed. Position Summary:

Assist lead engineers with scans, designs, and technical drawings.  Assist with vehicle disassemble/reassembly, prototyping, test fitment, inputting into ERP software, and finalizing new products for production. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilize 3D scanner to provide reference data for part design.
  • Utilize Solidworks to design prototypes within the specifications outlined by the engineering team.  Ensure prototypes meet strategic objectives through design reviews with engineering team.
  • Source necessary components for part assembly and test fitment.  Hand off to purchasing for ordering of components and account setup if necessary for production quantities.
  • Complete technical drawings and laser ready files for internal parts as well as external parts for job shop customers.
  • Use basic mechanical knowledge to disassemble/reassemble and test fit parts on vehicles.
  • Input 3d models, weld models, technical drawings, and laser files into ERP software for prototyping and production.
  • Input labor steps and estimated labor times into ERP software with the assistance of the engineering team.
  • Output jobs through ERP software for prototyping and production parts.
  • Build quotes for job shop customers and output jobs upon quote approval and receipt of purchase order.
  • Maintain organization on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Complete projects in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ask questions and consult with the engineering team to ensure projects are completed within the desired timeline.
  • Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
  • Follow current processes as well as drive changes to increase efficiency.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • High degree of technical, hands-on ability with complex assemblies and components
  • Experience in Solidworks
  • Familiar with MS Office and related products
  • Must be able to manage time effectively
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, welder, and handheld grinding equipment to assist in tacking/assembly of parts when needed.
