Structural Engineering at LPA What you will do: Structural engineering design, leading a team of engineers in completing various building design and retrofit projects. Structural Engineering (SE) license required 10 or more years of technical design experience. Experience using ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM and RISA, and other common structural design and analysis tools. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions in a Satellite Communications (SatCom) environment in our Kilgore, TX location. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage projects from inception to completion, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration while adhering to budgetary, scheduling, and quality guidelines. Bring your strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design processes, systems engineering methodologies, and engineering design tools to this exciting position.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing engineering projects, serving as a liaison between program management, planning, finance, sales/marketing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Manage project staffing, budgets, and schedules while ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and input to Program Management and other stakeholders.
  • Assess project challenges, develop resolutions, and monitor progress using effective mechanisms for intervention and problem-solving.
  • Lead the design and implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring adherence to safety standards and engineering processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, responding to needs with cost-effective and optimal solutions.
  • Mentor and motivate team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring knowledge transfer.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering methodologies.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE THESE KEY CAPABILITIES:
