The Engineering Systems Senior Manager is the technical subject matter expert for the company’s engineering processes and software.  This position is responsible for helping develop, improve, and train all engineering processes, as well as helping to configure, test, and provide first-level user support on all engineering software. They are responsible for driving the strategic direction and technical execution of all engineering processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and alignment with the company’s goals.  Our ideal candidate must have a high degree of technical competence, written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable working independently or collaboratively.  A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or significant professional experience is required.  We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of OEM, or Tier 1 experience, working with industry standard PLM systems (i.e. 3DExperience, Teamcenter, Aras, etc.). Supervisory Responsibilities:   Lead and manage a small team of configuration specialists, providing mentorship, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, electrical engineering, software engineering, and mechanical engineering to ensure seamless integration of engineering processes and procedures. Duties/Responsibilities: Help manage engineering development data, systems, and processes throughout the full lifecycle of the products. Work with cross-functional teams to understand the end-to-end functionality and impact of the engineering processes. Help architect and build Motiv’s engineering systems and processes. Ensure thorough understanding of the engineering community, regarding processes implemented within the PLM system.  Articulate ideas, give feedback, and mentor users.  Root cause issues that may arise in either the engineering software directly, or the business processes within Motiv. The Engineering Systems Senior Manager is the technical subject matter expert for the company’s engineering processes and software.  This position is responsible for helping develop, improve, and train all engineering processes, as well as helping to configure, test, and provide first-level user support on all engineering software. They are responsible for driving the strategic direction and technical execution of all engineering processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and alignment with the company’s goals. 

Our ideal candidate must have a high degree of technical competence, written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable working independently or collaboratively.  A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or significant professional experience is required.  We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of OEM, or Tier 1 experience, working with industry standard PLM systems (i.e. 3DExperience, Teamcenter, Aras, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage a small team of configuration specialists, providing mentorship, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, electrical engineering, software engineering, and mechanical engineering to ensure seamless integration of engineering processes and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Help manage engineering development data, systems, and processes throughout the full lifecycle of the products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the end-to-end functionality and impact of the engineering processes.
  • Help architect and build Motiv’s engineering systems and processes.
  • Ensure thorough understanding of the engineering community, regarding processes implemented within the PLM system.  Articulate ideas, give feedback, and mentor users. 
  • Root cause issues that may arise in either the engineering software directly, or the business processes within Motiv.
  • Familiar with industry-leading PLM solutions (3DExperience, Teamcenter, Aras, etc.), CAD solutions (NX, Catia, SolidWorks, etc.), and requirements management solutions (JAMA, Jira, Polarion, DOORS, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to and work with both internal and external customers, alike, at all levels

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/ or significant professional experience
  • 10+ years of working with industry standard PLM systems (3DExperience, Teamcenter, Aras)
  • Basic understanding of relational database theory and function
  • Database programing knowledge is a plus.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certified (Blackbelt a plus)
  • Experience with industry standard CAD systems (NX, Catia, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), is a plus.
  • Experience working with ERPs, Consolidation systems and Budgeting software, experience with Plex preferred
  • Self-starting and ready to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills – ability to present to wider audiences

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times 

 

Salary Range:

  • $175,000.00-$185,000.00 (Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.)
