Introduction

This role focuses on software delivery management and software quality and issue resolution within the automotive industry. The position requires a dynamic individual who can manage software and calibration delivery, support driver assist features, and ensure compliance with central software requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum 2 years of experience with design or development in chassis or powertrain controls
• Design Release Engineer with minimum 2 years of software delivery management
• Software Systems with minimum 2 years in software quality and issue resolution
• Prior work experience in the automotive industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in supplier management
• Experience with FMEA and related quality assurance processes
• Familiarity with vehicle network communication (e.g., CAN)
• Self-starter with outstanding leadership and communication skills
• Exposure to controls modeling (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, Stateflow, SysML)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Handle Brake Controls software and calibration delivery management
• Guide supplier partners through the Ford Global Product Development System (GPDS)
• Deliver software work packages through the software change management process
• Investigate Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) issues, including Quality Early Detection (QED)
• Support prototype vehicle builds and release diagnostics specifications
• Lead Software Technical Design Reviews (TDRs)
