Job Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modules
  • Evaluating and optimizing prototypes of multi-chip modules
  • Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.
  • Participating and presenting in design reviews
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
  • Trouble-shooting and resolving design or technical issues
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs
  • Commitment to work onsite for 6 months
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
  • Strong career interest in RF/microwave circuits and engineering
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience in a lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of transmission-line theory and circuit design is a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
