Act as a liaison between various stakeholders to ensure all perspectives are considered in the design process. Natilus is seeking an Airframe Design Engineer to join the team in San Diego, CA. Your primary task would be structural design of both metallic and composite parts. At Natilus, we work with a small team of highly adaptable engineers which enables us to accomplish the tasks of a much larger team. This gives you the opportunity to branch out into other technical disciplines such as mechanisms, manufacturing, stress analysis and tooling design as well as participate in the entire cradle-to-grave design process of multiple aircraft. Natilus is currently building a large 19,000lb unmanned aerial vehicle powered by twin turbo props. Our aircraft is a blended wing body with the sole purpose of carrying cargo. Making history utilizing multiple new technologies, it will be the first of its kind to fly and be put into production. The position is based out of San Diego and requires 20% travel. Function: The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Design and Construction department under the leadership of the Senior Vice President of Capital Investments and Design & Construction. The Physical Security Design Engineer role will be experienced in protective design, physical security and/or civil construction to support the Client's Global Security Systems & Technology program. The Specialist will possess strong knowledge in security, design, construction, and project delivery processes as they relate to protective design and physical security for critical facilities, particularly data centers. This position will focus on coordination, incorporation, and review of physical security requirements including site layout, barriers and fencing, access controls, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance, security lighting, and structural hardening for new build projects. In addition, the position requires close coordination with operational and technological security teams as well as architects and engineers across a variety of disciplines (Civil, Landscape, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, and Security). This role will support project delivery on the Client's leased and owned data centers. This will require working across all levels of the organization to provide background and educate both technical and non-technical stakeholders on protective design requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering (Civil, Structural) and 2-3+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., design, construction, O&M) or 4+ years of experience in technical and/or physical security design.
