Assist in product and feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and software releases. Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G Wireless Call Protocols. Analyze and troubleshoot the issues. Provide expert technical support in the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions in order to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between Samsung sales team and carriers' network business. Educate our customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments. Work with mobile wireless standards and protocols in a mobile wireless telecommunications environment. Perform resource allocation, mobility management, and QoS in wireless networks. Work on call processing of wireless networks, and in air interface technologies, including RLC, MAC, and PHY layer protocols. Define and analyze wireless network performance using operational measurements. Utilize XCAL/XCAP to analyze air interface issues. Design and test network elements as defined in 3GPP architecture. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems Engineering or related field and twelve (12) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience as a Staff Engineer I, System Structure Design or related occupation in 4G/5G system development in mobile industry. The twelve (12) years must have included: (1) 4G/5G concepts including Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies; (2) Experience with system engineering activities, including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and problem troubleshooting; (3) Experience with 4G/5G air interface and call processing technologies and network architecture with focus on Radio Access Network; (4) Experience with overall Wireless systems with emphasis on PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers; (5) Experience with protocol analyzers, test tools including XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulator, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators; and (6) Experience with 3GPP Rel-15/16 activities, 3GPP systems, including Core and RAN networks. Position Responsibilities:

Assist in product and feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and software releases. Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G Wireless Call Protocols. Analyze and troubleshoot the issues. Provide expert technical support in the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions in order to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between Samsung sales team and carriers' network business. Educate our customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments. Work with mobile wireless standards and protocols in a mobile wireless telecommunications environment. Perform resource allocation, mobility management, and QoS in wireless networks. Work on call processing of wireless networks, and in air interface technologies, including RLC, MAC, and PHY layer protocols. Define and analyze wireless network performance using operational measurements. Utilize XCAL/XCAP to analyze air interface issues. Design and test network elements as defined in 3GPP architecture.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems Engineering or related field and twelve (12) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience as a Staff Engineer I, System Structure Design or related occupation in 4G/5G system development in mobile industry. The twelve (12) years must have included: (1) 4G/5G concepts including Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies; (2) Experience with system engineering activities, including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and problem troubleshooting; (3) Experience with 4G/5G air interface and call processing technologies and network architecture with focus on Radio Access Network; (4) Experience with overall Wireless systems with emphasis on PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers; (5) Experience with protocol analyzers, test tools including XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulator, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators; and (6) Experience with 3GPP Rel-15/16 activities, 3GPP systems, including Core and RAN networks. Travel Requirement: 20% domestic travel required.
