Summary The Roadway Design and Modeling Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development of transportation infrastructure design plans for alternative delivery projects. They will utilize engineering software to create plans and 3D models, analyze alternative solutions and ensure cost-effectiveness of the design. This involves a combination of technical skills, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders as part of the construction team during the pursuit and preconstruction phases of a project. Key Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with design partners to develop design models, evaluate design alternatives, lead reviews of intermediate design submittals and provide concept-level design for innovations and optimizations. Creating detailed plans for roads, intersections, and interchanges, including geometric design, drainage, and right-of-way plans, using software like MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Coordinate roadway elements across all disciplines with the design and construction staff to create comprehensive value-added alternatives and solutions to preliminary or final design Work with other divisions to bring design models into various other software packages for miscellaneous use-cases including proposal efforts, estimating, surveying, machine guidance, etc. Primarily focus on large, complex projects that typically utilize alternative project delivery contracting methods (design-build, progressive design-build, CMGC, CMAR, etc.). Managing design tasks and, timelines while coordinating with other team members and stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Providing technical guidance and support during the preconstruction and construction phases, ensuring the project adheres to the design specifications and safety standards. The Opportunity The Design Engineer role is responsible for the design of manufactured products, with an emphasis on grain conditioning and drying equipment. The Team The role will report directly to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities Generate, evaluate, and analyze design concepts utilizing a fact-based approach. Develop detailed models, drawings, and specifications for mechanical equipment, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment. Prototype and test design concepts. Work with engineering and manufacturing team members and with customers to design and layout detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems. Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Interface with customers and customer service representatives to assist with troubleshooting, plan for projects, and gather feedback. Layout, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or similar (preferred). Minimum Associate's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years' related experience preferred. Proficiency with 3D modelling (Autodesk Inventor preferred). Drafting and design skills with metal fabrication. A plus if experience in material handling equipment and grain systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 5-10% of the time Why AGI?   • Job Overview:

Seeking an MEP+ITS Design EIT to be part of the Engineering Services of Ferrovial Construction North America

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and ITS engineering design tasks for Tender and Detailed Design phase of projects

  • Work with both internal and external teams of experts and coordinate design activities between staff, external consultants, and clients

  • Review engineering information produced by internal and external consultant teams to ensure the design meets the different technical requirements of the project

  • Help ensure designs can be integrated into construction plans complying that the design is feasible for construction

  • Manage work through the planning and scheduling, as well as the review and approval of tasks to meet project deadlines

  • Estimate quantities of materials and develop specifications to determine project feasibility and implement design enhancements

  • Identify both schedule and quantities variances and develop recommendations for corrective action

  • Perform visits to the working site to oversee transport infrastructure activities

  • Prepare engineering reports about projects, including creating analytical two and three-dimensional models

  • Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, and scheduling performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field

  • MS Degree with one-year experience acceptable.

  • 0-2+ years of experience in the design of highways, buildings and/or airports

  • Registered E.I.T preferred.

  • Must be on a track for attaining a Professional Engineering (PE) registration

  • Knowledge and experience with design software as AGI 32, and electrical, HVAC, CAD/MicroStation/BIM 3D applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering and airports

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam pdf, and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated qualities of leadership and hard work

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings and specifications

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment; an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs/ideas

  • Strong commitment to high standards, integrity, and ethics

  • Ability to relocate once a project is awarded.
