About the role As a Design Engineer at Alleima , you will be responsible for : — Design and Development: Develop mechanical concepts, detailed designs, and technical drawings for production equipment, machinery, and fixtures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor). —Project Execution: Lead and support design-related projects from concept to installation and validation, ensuring alignment with production requirements and business goals. —Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, R&D, Maintenance, and Quality to translate process and product requirements into technical equipment specifications. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers for the manufacturing, assembly, and integration of machine components and systems. — Process Optimization: Identify and implement design improvements to increase equipment reliability, ease of use, safety, and efficiency. — Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, risk assessments, and validation protocols, in compliance with medical device standards and internal procedures. — Support and Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on technical support during equipment building, commissioning, testing, and production ramp-up phases. Troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed. — Standardization and Best Practices: Contribute to the development of internal design standards, templates, and guidelines to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer across sites. MECHANICAL ENGINEER, MACHINE DESIGN (STARSHIP) As a member of the Starship Tooling team, you will work with a team of elite engineers across multiple disciplines to design, build, and activate critical production assets required to build the Starship launch vehicle. Responsibilities:   Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surveyors, engineers, and subconsultants while mentoring junior-level staff.  Prepare proposals to FDOT and other agencies for transportation projects.   Prepare written technical proposals and make short list presentations.  Prepare written scopes of work and fee proposals, negotiate, and prepare subconsultant agreements. Present to prospective clients and project stakeholders, including responding to questions from internal and external audiences. Responsibilities: Develop Transmission and Distribution (T&D) line construction design packages from project start to finish Perform analysis, complete detailed calculations, and develop reports and estimates. Verify and review right-of-way requirements. Develop conceptual/feasibility studies, cost estimates, design drawings, structure elevation drawings and details, site routings, physical designs, clearances, material specifications, bills of materials, bid documents, etc. Use industry-standard design tools including the PLS-CADD software suite (including PLS-POLE) and Osmose O-Calc Pro. Perform QA/QC on other's work as required, reviewing for completeness and accuracy. Manage multiple projects within prescribed time frames. Effectively communicate design requirements and collaborate with other disciplines of the company including structural, civil, survey, etc. Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets their needs and objectives. Requirements: B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. PE license in Kansas preferred (or the ability to obtain the license in a timely manner). 5-7 years of experience in the electric power industry. Experience with the modeling, analysis, and design of T&D lines and structures – 345kV and below. Skilled in the design of wood, laminated, and steel structures. Knowledgeable of applicable codes and standards including the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Standards, and other applicable industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, CSA, IEC, ASCE, etc.). Experience with other related software tools such as LPILE, MFAD, ArcGIS, ETAP, Milsoft WindMil, and SKM Power Tools is preferred. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required. Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately. Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings may be required. Design Engineer 

The Design Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing production machinery, equipment, and fixtures to enable efficient, safe, and scalable manufacturing. The role bridges Production, R&D, and Engineering by translating process requirements into robust technical solutions. You will use your knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and computer-aided design software to develop new machine solutions according to business needs. The position ensures that designs support operational performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. 
This role is based in Palm Coast, Florida, supporting local production and global collaboration; the expectation that the candidate will be available for up to 30% travel to collaborate with international teams as needed. 

About the role 

As a Design Engineer at Alleima, you will be responsible for: 

Design and Development: Develop mechanical concepts, detailed designs, and technical drawings for production equipment, machinery, and fixtures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor). 

—Project Execution: Lead and support design-related projects from concept to installation and validation, ensuring alignment with production requirements and business goals. 

—Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, R&D, Maintenance, and Quality to translate process and product requirements into technical equipment specifications. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers for the manufacturing, assembly, and integration of machine components and systems. 

Process Optimization: Identify and implement design improvements to increase equipment reliability, ease of use, safety, and efficiency. 

— Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, risk assessments, and validation protocols, in compliance with medical device standards and internal procedures.

— Support and Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on technical support during equipment building, commissioning, testing, and production ramp-up phases. Troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed. 

— Standardization and Best Practices: Contribute to the development of internal design standards, templates, and guidelines to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer across sites.
