Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications: Manage the facility operations and communications of the Chandler, AZ and Chamblee, GA Design Centers including liaison to landlord, Real Estate team, EHS & Risk team, Corporate Security, and facility management vendors. Maintain facility expenses per annual budget and owns PO and invoice processes for Design Network. Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to develop, implement and maintain plans for Design safety and security practices, processes, and procedures. Maintain US Design Center digital inventory, order materials and supplies and prepare design teams for delivery. Partner with Indirect Sourcing to maintain and negotiate contracts, vendor/service providers, conduct contract renewals, and schedule service as needed. Proactive approach with strong problem-solving, ownership and attention to detail skills are required. Conflict resolution and maintaining confidentiality. Understanding OSHA regulations and standards, preferred. Job Description: Join the Game Design program at MICA, where we approach games from a unique perspective that can only be found at an art and design college. Our program explores the design and development of games, how they are used to entertain, educate, and create meaning, and the role of play in culture. Game Design faculty teach 3 courses per semester, ranging from foundational non-digital game design courses to technical video game development courses using the Unity game engine. Job Purpose:

Our Design Center Operations Coordinator will execute and coordinate activities within multiple facilities to ensure operational efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities:

● Administer headquarters’ facilities budget, ensuring all expenses are properly accounted for and within budget.
● Assist with office layout planning, moves and new-hire setups and maintains office floorplans.
● Coordinate with maintenance and office supply vendors on deliveries, negotiations, upgrades, etc.
● Organize and maintain inventory of breakroom, conference room & office supplies and furnishings.
● Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email to internal and external customers/clients/employees.
● Greet and direct visitors and provide a positive first impression and maintain neatness in lobby and other common areas.
● Receive and sort incoming mail, process outgoing mail, maintain postage machine and related records.
● Assists with maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
● Performs other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, copying, meeting organizing, etc.
Identifies opportunities for process and office management improvement.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Manage the facility operations and communications of the Chandler, AZ and Chamblee, GA Design Centers including liaison to landlord, Real Estate team, EHS & Risk team, Corporate Security, and facility management vendors.
  • Maintain facility expenses per annual budget and owns PO and invoice processes for Design Network.
  • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to develop, implement and maintain plans for Design safety and security practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain US Design Center digital inventory, order materials and supplies and prepare design teams for delivery.
  • Partner with Indirect Sourcing to maintain and negotiate contracts, vendor/service providers, conduct contract renewals, and schedule service as needed.
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving, ownership and attention to detail skills are required.
  • Conflict resolution and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Understanding OSHA regulations and standards, preferred.

Work Experience:

● 3-5 years of related job experience.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).

● Strong planning and organization skills are required.

Education:

● High School Diploma/GED Preferred
