As a Building Engineer, you will: Perform basic daily service requests and respond to work orders; determine the type and extent of malfunctions, adjust, repair, or replace parts or components, reassemble, and test for proper operation. Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned Perform assigned preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies. You will also schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program" Perform daily routine maintenance rounds and inspections of mechanical rooms, equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities within assigned areas for proper operation and working conditions. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned Report more serious problems to Supervisor for instructions or maintenance scheduling while following safety protocol Assume other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The PreOp/PACU RN is responsible for coordinating and managing patient care for surgical patients throughout the preoperative and postoperative phases. They will provide support, education, direct care to patients, and act as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support systems. The Ambulatory Care RN works as part of a healthcare team to administer various forms of IV therapy to patients. They also perform other outpatient treatments such as dressing changes, PICC line flushes and care, and foley catheter changes. Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Building Engineer for our Post Acute Care Services department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Building Engineer, you will:

  • Perform basic daily service requests and respond to work orders; determine the type and extent of malfunctions, adjust, repair, or replace parts or components, reassemble, and test for proper operation. Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies. You will also schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program"
  • Perform daily routine maintenance rounds and inspections of mechanical rooms, equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities within assigned areas for proper operation and working conditions. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
  • Report more serious problems to Supervisor for instructions or maintenance scheduling while following safety protocol
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all-inclusive

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three (3) years of experience working for a mechanical or general contractor, or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment
  • Relevant industrial or hospital experience preferred
  • Recent experience or training in one or more of the following areas: general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or other related fields
  • Graduate of trade or vocational school in a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Successful completion of ASHE Environmental Worker certification within 6 months from date of hire

Work Schedule:

Day shift, occasional evenings/weekends.
