We're looking for an admitted attorney for an extremely promising Post-Conviction Relief Attorney position within a premier law firm with lots of room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law and further their career with an established firm in the Victorville area. As the Post-Conviction Relief Attorney, you will report to the Supervising Attorney. We're looking to add an attorney with previous litigation and/or appellate experience to join our team and handle post-conviction relief. The Post-Conviction Relief Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Post-Conviction Relief Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. Responsibilities Advise client on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case Responsible for post conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, early termination of probation etc. Experience with immigration law is highly desirable, but not required, as this position would have interactions with both criminal and immigration practices Attend motion hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients following each hearing about best strategies Handle open criminal cases including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas and sentencing on behalf of other criminal attorneys within the firm Manage court appearances, drafting motions, interviewing clients and performing legal research Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents Manage workload of cases Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits Qualifications Criminal Defense Experience or Immigration Law Experience Experience handling criminal cases at the state and local level A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber Pay Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annual salary Pay ranges can be exceeded depending on experience on a case by case basis. Advanced Practice Provider Pre/Post Surgical Optimization Hybrid, MGH Ambulatory site and BWH sites 3-5x weekly Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. This APP will focus on pre- and post-surgical optimization. The APP will lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to provision of innovative, patient-centered care as part of the CMS Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM). This is a mandatory, episode-based, alternative payment model, in which Mass General Brigham will coordinate optimal care for traditional Medicare patients undergoing one of five specified surgical procedures and assume responsibility for the cost and quality of care from surgery through the first 30 days after the patient leaves the hospital. This model aims to improve the patient experience preoperatively, through surgery and recovery. This will be done by supporting the coordination and transition of care between providers and promoting a successful recovery that can reduce unnecessary post-acute care utilization and readmissions. This role is designed to proactively assess and support these patients through the full journey of the surgical episode (pre-surgery, in-facility surgery, post-surgery). The APP will see patients both virtually and in-person and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop patient optimization programs throughout the course of the episode. The APP focuses primarily on the following areas: pre-operative optimization, risk capture and risk assessment, and closure of quality care gaps. Research Program Overview: Dr. Amy Dickey leads a translational research program focused on porphyria, a group of rare genetic disorders affecting heme biosynthesis. Her work includes clinical trials, observational registry studies, and laboratory-based investigations aimed at understanding the genetic and biological modifiers of disease severity. Current projects include identifying and characterizing genetic modifiers of EPP, understanding mechanisms of phototoxicity in EPP, investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials, the development of digital biomarkers for light sensitivity, and the creation of a longitudinal porphyria disease registry with linked biospecimens. Dr. Dickey collaborates closely with Dr. Rebecca Karp in hematology and co-directs a multidisciplinary porphyria clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital. The lab is located within the MGH Cutaneous Biology Research Center (CBRC), offering a highly collaborative, patient-centered research environment at the intersection of genomics, clinical medicine, and therapeutic discovery. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Be punctual - working hours are 6:00a m -2:30pm, Monday-Friday (overtime as needed) Have a full understanding of shop drawings and the ability to read blueprints; know how to relate the elevations, plan views, and detail (section cut) view and how to fabricate a cabinet using these three elements. Build a cabinet starting from scratch by creating a cut list, cutting material to size, using jigs to locate hardware, and completing all of the processes without the help of computerized machinery. We're looking for an admitted attorney for an extremely promising Post-Conviction Relief Attorney position within a premier law firm with lots of room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law and further their career with an established firm in the Victorville area. As the Post-Conviction Relief Attorney, you will report to the Supervising Attorney. We're looking to add an attorney with previous litigation and/or appellate experience to join our team and handle post-conviction relief. The Post-Conviction Relief Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Post-Conviction Relief Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Advise client on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case
  • Responsible for post conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, early termination of probation etc.
  • Experience with immigration law is highly desirable, but not required, as this position would have interactions with both criminal and immigration practices
  • Attend motion hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients following each hearing about best strategies
  • Handle open criminal cases including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas and sentencing on behalf of other criminal attorneys within the firm
  • Manage court appearances, drafting motions, interviewing clients and performing legal research
  • Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
  • Manage workload of cases
  • Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits

Qualifications

  • Criminal Defense Experience or Immigration Law Experience
  • Experience handling criminal cases at the state and local level
  • A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required
  • Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber

Pay Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annual salary

Pay ranges can be exceeded depending on experience on a case by case basis.
