A typical LTACH patient may require care for: ventilator weaning, complex wounds, infections requiring IV antibiotics, complications from extensive surgery, multi-system failures, TPN, neurological / traumatic injuries, and those not yet able to participate in acute rehabilitation due to medical complexity.
