What You'll Get To Do: Design of electrical systems in accordance with scope of work. Evaluate vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met. Develop and mature Electrical designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations. Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Collaborating and communicating with multi-functional teams and all collaborators. Providing guidance and mentoring team during project execution. Able to work independently with minimum supervision, positive demeanor and highest ethics. Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work. The candidate will support the Oconee Nuclear Station (ONS), located in Seneca, South Carolina, within the Duke Energy Nuclear Fleet. The ONS Operations Support Engineering- Electrical team provides the station focal point for maintaining Equipment Reliability of power generation and distribution systems by monitoring system health and performance, identifying and resolving equipment issues and advocating for short and long-term performance improvement plans. Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman. There is the potential for growth into a management position based on level of performance and success as a foreman. As the Electrical Foreman, you will have a multifaceted role, responsible for the efficient operation of our electrical service department, coordination of service projects, supervision of small-scale electrical projects, and estimating costs for small projects. You will lead a team of 2 (1 electrical apprentice and 1 experienced electrician), and ensure the timely delivery of services, projects, and client satisfaction. 70% of your day will be in the field and 30% will be in the office. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support. Develop and implement service schedules, ensuring timely response to customer requests and maintenance contracts. Review and prioritize service requests, dispatching technicians accordingly. Monitor job progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Manage inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring availability for service projects. Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for service contract renewals and upselling. Track and report on service department performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs). Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner. Supervise and provide guidance to electricians. Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance. Receive and review service requests from clients, assessing the scope of work required. Prepare and dispatch work orders to service technicians, ensuring they have all the necessary information and materials. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, project status, and client communication. Qualifications: MA Journeyman or Master License preferred. Proficiency in using Service Titan or similar service management software a plus. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. Excellent leadership, project management, organizational, and estimation skills. Strong communication skills to interact with customers professionally and courteously. Generac generator installation experience. Familiarity with the Nexstar Service System is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues accurately. Dedication to safety, adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a safe work environment. WHO YOU ARE A licensed Electrician with an in-depth knowledge of Electrical systems Develop a culture of performance excellence to encourage employment growth Drive the Electrical department sales through training and development of the field technicians Maintain operational excellence through invoice completion, inventory control, safety awareness, and accurate reporting Coach electricians on how to increase average ticket, closing rate and monthly truck revenue Provide a constant flow of product and sales training Promote lead generation Monitor and control call backs and warranties Handle all escalated customer concerns by demonstrating 100% customer satisfaction High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred Extensive knowledge of local codes and industry standards Excellent leadership skills and team mentality to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced Ability to build business in the private sector, as well as the public sector Background with RFIs, cost estimates (plan/spec and design/build), negotiating, material take-offs, and reading blueprints required Ability to layout branch circuiting; to read and understand contract documents, drawings and specifications Have an understanding of general electrical design and engineering concepts and have an overall general knowledge of electrical material costs Positive energy and enthusiasm to drive sales and company growth Ability to prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple tasks, handle deadlines Pay Rate: $36 - $42 per hour plus commissions and performance-based bonuses EEOC

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer / Sr Principal Electrical Engineer. This position is located in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO and supports the Sentinel program.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Design of electrical systems in accordance with scope of work.

  • Evaluate vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met.

  • Review documentation such as but not limited to schematics, diagrams, equipment data sheets, hazard area classification drawings, and electrical analysis or studies developed by other engineers and designers.

  • Review application of codes and standards for compliance and correct interpretation of Electrical designs.

  • Participate in the delivery of Electrical design Technical Data Packages (TDP), Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.

  • Analyze trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues.

  • Develop and present design change requests, coordinate with impacted internal and external stakeholders, to ensure configuration control of the technical baseline.

  • Identify risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors.

  • Develop and mature Electrical designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.

  • Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

  • Collaborating and communicating with multi-functional teams and all collaborators.

  • Providing guidance and mentoring team during project execution.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision, positive demeanor and highest ethics.

  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Electrical Engineer level (T03) or Sr Principal Electrical Engineer level (T04).

Principal Electrical Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree; 4 years of experience with PHD

Sr Principal Electrical Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience, or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree; 4 years of experience with PHD

Required for Both Levels:

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Knowledgeable of mechanical/ electrical design and analysis principles.

  • Experience with electrical/power systems, cable/harness, circuit card, controls systems and/or components design.

  • Knowledgeable of using the Mentor Graphics Capital/Xpedition tool or equivalents

  • Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Engineering Scheduling tools or applications.

  • Experience reviewing engineering specifications, schematics and/or drawings with the ability to translate customer driven requirements into specifications.

  • Experience resolving issues and providing technical support

  • Capable of working with minimal direction and in team environments.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ETAP or SKM PTW32 for short circuit analysis, coordination studies, and arc flash studies.

  • Electrical design experience in CAD such as NX/Revit

  • Experience working with external customer to meet program expectations in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Experience with maintenance and reliability engineering

  • Experience using the following tools: ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalents

  • Teamcenter/CPLM experience

  • Continuous Process Improvement experience

  • Experience with Agile

  • Knowledge of various data transmission formats (eg. Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber etc)

Colorado Pay Range:

Principal Electrical Engineer: Min:$95,300; Max: $158,000

Sr Principal Electrical Engineer: Min: $124,900 ; Max: $187,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
