The Staff Avionics RF Electrical Engineer will participate in all aspects of the development and test of RF hardware for E-Space satellite communications equipment. Essential Responsibilities Design, specify, and oversee implementation of electrical systems for Lapmaster wafer processing equipment (including panel layouts, schematics and other documentation as needed) Work with engineering teams to design and implement electrical systems that meet design goals for current products as well as prototype systems in development Ensure that products meet applicable requirements for electrical codes and standards, including Semi S2/S8 and/or CE certification when applicable Provide electrical system troubleshooting and problem solving as needed Guide improvements to existing electrical designs by reducing cost and improving reliability Use safe work practices at all times. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Maintain a professional demeanor with all students, coworkers, and community members. ● Provide excellent classroom instruction through positive and inspiring learning experiences for all students using a variety of teaching methods and making every learning situation relevant to career preparation. ● Prepare detailed lesson plans, job sheets, and laboratory demonstrations for all units of instruction. ● Recommend changes in the curriculum to maintain a current program. ● Monitor the progress for each student in the program. ● Work as a teammate with other instructors and support staff. ● Update and continually improve your own teaching techniques and skills and successfully complete all required professional development activities. ● Teach the depth and scope of the class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog and relate the instructions to careers and employer expectations. ● Prepare and grade examinations based upon course objectives, publish lesson schedules, and return all assignments in a timely manner. ● Work creatively in all classes, encourage students, and maintain satisfactory retention. ● Begin and end each class at the designated times, providing a full period of instruction. ● Accurately maintain attendance records in accordance with the Attendance Policy, submit. class roster daily, maintain a separate record of attendance and grades that is clearly labeled and turned in at the end of the term. ● Attend faculty meetings, and other CCA events as required by the Alabaster City Schools. ● Participate in extracurricular activities, such as campus and community events. ● Supervise all laboratory experience. ● Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment. ● Maintain proper inventory of all equipment and tools assigned to the program. ● Maintain an active advisory committee which meets twice a year, minimally. ● Visit industry to develop and maintain a good rapport with employers and to monitor students participating in internships. ● Take an active role in the advice and counseling of students. ● Assist students to find employment in an occupation related to training. ● Contribute to the overall mission of the Champions Craft Academy by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine-month (187 days) contract. SALARY RANGE: Appropriate placement on current salary schedule. EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Board policy.

Prepare/create engineering and construction estimate documents for the installation of new, or modifications to existing substations, including bill of materials, RTU list and electrical details. Create/modify technical specifications for major substation equipment, such as power transformers, power circuit breakers and control house. Develop system integration of protection, control and monitoring systems by coordinating with other engineers, as appropriate. Provide engineering and construction support for projects. Apply field mark-ups of the project as built-up drawings and perform basic calculations, such as: voltage drop, CT burden and saturation, lighting and short circuit…all with minimal supervision. Up to 25% travel required. Complete other duties as assigned, including a willingness to temporarily fill in for other roles/duties as required. Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required. Minimum 2 years of experience, or 1 year of experience with master’s degree. Passed FE exam or working towards it.
