Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the entire satellite electrical system

  • Define and lead satellite harness definition and fabrication processes

  • Design and develop high reliability electrical systems and PCBs for satellite devices

  • Take charge of system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, design, and test

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis down to component level

  • Maintain and update requirements and design documentation throughout the entire system life cycle

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience designing and developing new hardware from concept to launch

  • Advanced proficiency with design tools for schematic capture (Altium preferred)

  • Confidence working in the lab with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and logic analyzers

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and interact effectively with team members and stakeholders

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience with switching power supply design

  • Experience with common communication busses (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-422/485, CAN, USB, 1000BASE-T, PCIe)

  • Embedded systems and microcontroller implementation with DDR and PCIe

  • Understanding of analog, high speed, and differential signal routing

  • Experience with high performance digital processors, FPGAs, memory chips, or network switches

  • Experience with circuit board design-for-manufacturability, productization of electronics

Senior Electrical Engineer Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 USD
