Job Description

The Electrical/I&C Engineer Co-op or Intern will work alongside other Electrical and I&C Engineers to prepare drawings, instrument specifications, calculations, and other deliverables for our clients’ design projects. The position will also require interface with team members in our other engineering disciplines to provide cohesive engineering packages to our clients.

Responsibilities

    • Complete calculations of limited complexity, with supervision as needed; may include lighting distribution, conduit/cable tray fills, voltage drop, feeder sizing, control valve and flow meter sizing etc.
    • Develop and maintain Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematic/Interconnection Diagrams, Conduit/Cable Schedules, block and loop drawings, Plans for Lighting, Grounding, Power, Controls, Raceway, etc.
    • Support the development of Power System Study models for short circuit, load flow, protective device coordination and arc flash calculations efforts.
    • Provide support with instrument specifications
    • Assist experienced Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Engineers with their activities as requested

Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent education) in Electrical or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
