Your daily tasks will leverage your related degree to maintain, modify, and complete aircraft builds from start to finish. Use of hand tools such as side cutters and wire strippers for basic fabrication of simple wire harnesses. Understanding equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers for circuit testing. Provide feedback to Engineering on the parts/assemblies/installations. On aircraft and component level troubleshooting, pitot static calibration, and software load. Fabricate flight articles with minimal supervision. Fabrication of non-flight critical test articles and components. Work in a team environment to achieve a common goal. Proficient at several skills that are foundation level. Provides electrical and controls support for projects that are being managed by others: Perform power, electrical distribution and control system engineering calculations as required. Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed. Develop specifications for E&C equipment. Manage orders from requisition input through installation and warranty issues. Work with JM Global Procurement and Logistics to develop and manage the required contracts. Identify, procure and manage contractors for the installation aspects. Provide detailed and accurate cost estimates and schedules to project managers for the E&C portion of their projects. Develops and maintains project documentation such as work scopes, drawings, start-up procedures, programs, etc. Provides financial forecast to project manager regarding the E&C scope. Take on a project management role for projects that are exclusively electrical and/or controls: Maintain communication with management and project stakeholders regarding overall project budget, forecasts, schedule, scope, deliverables, execution and reporting to provide the expected benefits of the project to the organization. Previous experience working on BMS or in the automotive industry. Design experience in power electronics, converter design, powertrain, or UAS. This is to include a copy at the panel, a copy in the central library and a disc back-up of the program. Maintain all parameters for all VFD's and HMI's for the systems assigned. This is to include a copy at the VFD or HMI location, a copy in the central files and a copy in a software format on the network. Determine all the parts needed for the systems assigned to him/her, determine their criticality, and ensure needed parts are in stock. Provide electrical support to capital and internal projects. This is to include job walks, prints, job scopes, managing contractors and participating in meetings. Further, drive upgrades to the control systems in the plant. Ensure compliance with the Controls Change Management System where non-emergency changes are approved and documented prior to the change being made. Job Summary

As an Experimental A&E Specialist, you will be at the cutting edge of innovation, contributing to the design and creation of next-generation avionics and electrical systems. Your daily tasks will leverage your related degree to maintain, modify, and complete aircraft builds from start to finish. This will include, but is not limited to, wire harness assembly, modification, and verification, as well as building and adjusting circuit cards that integrate into aircraft communication systems and critical bus operations. You will also be responsible for advanced software loading and manipulation to troubleshoot issues and ensure system functionality. All tasks will be performed with the highest standards of quality to ensure a safe and reliable product.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Use of hand tools such as side cutters and wire strippers for basic fabrication of simple wire harnesses.
  • Understanding equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers for circuit testing.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering on the parts/assemblies/installations.
  • On aircraft and component level troubleshooting, pitot static calibration, and software load.
  • Fabricate flight articles with minimal supervision.
  • Fabrication of non-flight critical test articles and components.
  • Work in a team environment to achieve a common goal.
  • Proficient at several skills that are foundation level.
