You will become skilled in Test Operations roles and be expected to work in collaboration with a team of other technicians and engineers in support of the overall test facility design, build, activation and engine test efforts. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, systems, machinery and control panels including cable trays, panel building, and pipe bending. Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and techniques to minimize downtime and ensure operation efficiency. Ensure all electrical systems comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations. Collaborate as part of a team or independently to complete projects, often collaborating with engineers and other technical staff. KDM Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineer II to join the team. Responsible for design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials for large projects involving the installation of new utility infrastructure and modifications to existing utility infrastructure on Client distribution system. Provides in-progress design coordination with construction crew, clients, and internal and external customers to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Engineering field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials
  • Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
  • Proficiency of practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing recommendations.
  • Understanding of power distribution systems.
  • Ability to understand complex initiatives across multiple teams/platforms.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Quantitative and analytical skill set.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements:

  • BS Electrical Engineering degree.
  • 4+ years of prior industry experience.
  • Proficient in the use of all software needed to produce quality electrical design drawings such as AutoCAD, TED, Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Must be able to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters.
