Shift: $18.50/hr, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Mon to Fri, 3 Months Contract to Full Time Employement We are seeking a Switchboard Assembler to build and modify electromechanical equipment including switchboards and lighting panels. The role requires hands-on assembly using hand tools, power tools, and blueprints while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and production standards. Candidates will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting production schedules and customer requirements.Responsibilities:
Assemble switchboards and lighting panels using mechanical tools and assembly techniques
Interpret blueprints, bill of materials (BOM), and one-line diagrams
Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
Process and track work orders using computer systems and scanning devices
Perform wiring, cable connections, and component installation
Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
Identify and report non-conforming materials or documentation issues
Disassemble and rework units as required
Prepare finished products for shipment including packing and labeling
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety standards
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 6 months of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical assembly, and electromechanical systems
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
Basic computer skills for work order processing
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, lifting, climbing)
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to quality and safety protocols
Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation
