Respond to RFI’s and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents. Responsible for projects' construction administration. Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.  Attend and participate in construction meetings. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site. Applies knowledge of electrical and building codes in building systems design. May perform other related tasks as needed. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED Minimum of 10 years of related experience required. Current PE in Electrical Engineering in the United States required. LEED accreditation preferred. Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering. Ability to serve in QAQC process and as an independent reviewer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team. Able to effectively handle multiple projects. Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools) required.   The salary range for this position to be filled in the Buffalo, NY office is $121,170 to $151,410 annually.  This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting.   • Develop electrical design solutions for industrial and municipal projects, in particular for water and wastewater facilities. 

  • Produce and manage the production of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications for lighting, power distribution and control systems.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients to meet project and client expectations.

  • Provide construction administration for electrical projects to include responding to requests for information, change orders, inspection and punch list generation.

  • Supervise and/or mentor other electrical engineers and designers.

  • Lead and manage projects for the electrical group to include marketing, cross-functional team coordination, client engagement and interaction and communication.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college.

  • Licensed Electrical Engineer with ability to be licensed in multiple states.

  • Related experience in Commercial and/or Industrial system design, with experience in water and wastewater facilities a plus.

  • Experience as the electrical discipline lead on project and responsible to the project manager or client.

  • Project management experience, or interest/capability in becoming a project manager.

  • Understand design codes, standards, specifications and ability to interpret them.

  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, field surveys, construction observation, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience

  • Proficient in applicable electrical codes, interior lighting design, exterior/outdoor lighting design, voltage drop calculations, power distribution design, one-line diagrams, schematics, back-up power systems, and control systems.

  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  •  Conducting field investigations, condition assessments, writing reports and interfacing with clients.

  •  SKM proficiency in short circuit, load flow, fault analysis, and arc flash.  Experience with water and wastewater facility design.

  •  Revit and/or AutoCAD experience.
