Position Scope This is an in-office position that works out of the Gurnee, IL manufacturing site. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The Gurnee site is a 24/7 small batch chemical manufacturing operation, sitting on 13 acres. Essential Duties and Responsibilities List the key responsibilities for this role. Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect production areas for hazards, wear, leaks, and maintenance needs. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and handle hazardous waste management. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Participate in safety processes and special committees. Operational Support: Follow Standard Operating Procedures for tasks and permits. Respond to instructions from supervisors and planners. Obtain necessary permits for maintenance and project work. Team Collaboration: Maintain clean and organized work areas. Collaborate effectively in a team environment. Communicate with contractors, vendors, and other departments. Documentation and Reporting: Conduct and document safety and equipment inspections. Record accurate information on maintenance work orders. Enter time into CMMS weekly. Job Summary: ICT’s San Antonio office is looking for a personable Electrical Engineer to join a multi-discipline design team! The role will also include business development, marketing, and project management duties. If you think this might be a good fit for you, keep reading and apply!
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible for the total electrical systems design for specific projects.
- Make calculations integral to the electrical systems design.
- Be familiar with and apply applicable building codes and standards.
- Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
- As Project Manager, manage, direct, and supervise project to assure project confirms to the commitments related to time, quality, and communications. Deal directly with client to establish project schedules and expectations.
- Assist market segment manager and team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
- Manage, direct, and supervise electrical engineering staff in the execution of specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion of projects. Schedule and lead electrical production staff meetings.
- Supplement ICT design standards and administrative procedures where needed.
- Learn ICT’s client base and the services provided.
- Provide marketing support for project pursuits.
- Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic
- Ability to effectively communicate with architects, owners, and contractors.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a strong team.
- Excellent organization and time management skills

Qualifications:
- Design of Commercial and/or Healthcare Building experience is preferred.
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering and 5 or more years of applicable experience in design/engineering of building electrical power systems.
- Texas PE certification preferred, not required
- Must have Project Management experience.
- Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
- Knowledge of project approach and system design.
- Willingness to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Experience with healthcare facility design projects a plus
- Experience using and understanding of REVIT designing platforms.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills essential for team-based projects.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills required for simultaneous project schedules.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
