Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated electrical designs. Apply and uphold best practices in engineering methods. Oversee and contribute to the production of design documents from concept to detailed design for new construction, renovations, and facility additions. Develop comprehensive project specifications. Identify and implement strategies to enhance cost efficiency. Participate in project coordination meetings with clients and owners. Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits and shop drawing reviews. Mentor and support electrical designers. Assist the director with quality assurance reviews on projects. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 5+ years of engineering experience with a strong background in electrical systems. Proven experience in designing electrical systems for healthcare, higher education, or commercial buildings. Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC), energy codes, and other relevant industry standards. Project management experience required. Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam required. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, but not required.
