Roles Single point contact, and provider of daily support, for modules and software concerns that are impacting the Assembly plant. Works issues back to suppliers and engineering for resolution. Supports problem solving with parts associated with modules and software. Runs PTR, issues SPPS and writes PRTS, as needed to protect the customer and the operation of the plant. Works directly with the plant Electrical Team to ensure issues are properly managed with a single point of contact. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Single point contact for module reflash · Ensures reflashed parts are used correctly · Write SPPS/PRTS for software/module issues provided by diagnostician · Module scrap tracking and resolution on defective parts · Maintain supplier module tester list and assure all defects are consistently contained · GCA Electrical sufficiency · Support all Electrical BoO elements · Improving the Programming metric to support Electrical First-time quality goal of 90.5% · Support other Electrical team members as needed/directed · Provide test files when needed (snapshot, fault file, Vehicle Spy Log Files, etc) · The QE Electrical Module role to support production and eliminate product issues using the PTR, SPPS and PRTS processes Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications): Minimum 3 years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems · Strong interpersonal and team building skills · Strong written and oral communication skills · Self-motivated · Strong analytical ability · Able to make decisions quickly with a high level of confidence · Must be able to continually innovate · Must be able to help root cause highly complex issues and work well with Product and Engineers and then translate executive summaries to non-technical people · Thorough working knowledge of GMS as well supporting BIQ4 Deliverables · Knowledge of GEPICs/SPR and how that correlates to the release of software to the plant GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Job Description Summary: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the operations and maintenance support of electrical power distribution systems, including high voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, motors, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, electrical wiring, and hazardous area classification. Manage/assist in analysis and ensure follow-up on predictive data (coordination studies, relay tests, thermography, PD testing, megger tests, oil gas analysis, etc.) Provide technical guidance to operating plants from a corporate level on Local, National, & International Codes, Standards, Policies, and Procedures Assist with engineering studies, incident investigations, audits and assists with preparing oral and written reports. Actively participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) Take the lead in training, coaching, and mentoring field technicians and operations staff in the preventative maintenance and operation of electrical distribution and control systems. ____ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications Understanding of medium/high voltage motors and distribution systems; at least 7,000 Voltage Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as IEC, ISA, NEC, IEEE, etc. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite of tools Ability to travel for extended periods of time (1 to 10 days), with little advance warning. Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lansing Grand River Assembly on a full-time basis.

Roles

Single point contact, and provider of daily support, for modules and software concerns that are impacting the Assembly plant. Works issues back to suppliers and engineering for resolution. Supports problem solving with parts associated with modules and software. Runs PTR, issues SPPS and writes PRTS, as needed to protect the customer and the operation of the plant. Works directly with the plant Electrical Team to ensure issues are properly managed with a single point of contact.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Single point contact for module reflash

· Ensures reflashed parts are used correctly

· Write SPPS/PRTS for software/module issues provided by diagnostician

· Module scrap tracking and resolution on defective parts

· Maintain supplier module tester list and assure all defects are consistently contained

· GCA Electrical sufficiency

· Support all Electrical BoO elements

· Improving the Programming metric to support Electrical First-time quality goal of 90.5%

· Support other Electrical team members as needed/directed

· Provide test files when needed (snapshot, fault file, Vehicle Spy Log Files, etc)

· The QE Electrical Module role to support production and eliminate product issues using the PTR, SPPS and PRTS processes

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Minimum 3 years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems

· Strong interpersonal and team building skills

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Self-motivated

· Strong analytical ability

· Able to make decisions quickly with a high level of confidence

· Must be able to continually innovate

· Must be able to help root cause highly complex issues and work well with Product and Engineers and then translate executive summaries to non-technical people

· Thorough working knowledge of GMS as well supporting BIQ4 Deliverables

· Knowledge of GEPICs/SPR and how that correlates to the release of software to the plant
