The applicant can benefit by providing microcontroller software skills in Assembly or C. Simulate at schematic stages and/or test the finished prototypes. Testing involves operation to the project requirements and verification activities. V/V tests include thermal, vibration or other environmental tests, as requested. Tests may be conducted in house or contracted out with applicant supervision. Knowledge is required for operating or learning to operate power supplies, function generators, DMMs, oscilloscopes, LCR, logic and spectrum analyzers, at minimum. Analyze the test results and modify the design as needed. Create and confirm documentation to procure parts and build product without variation. Create detailed and concise testing procedures for production level associates. Evolve learning customer's needs, applications, design techniques and learn from failure. Supports the RFQ process by generating estimates for product and development costs. Participates in field assignments with customers and potential customers when required. Competency in earned-value tracking, labor efficiency index, and crew composite factors. Proven ability to complete a detailed take-off and all required estimating for electrical projects. Job Description

The Electrical Engineer/Electronics Engineer will support Matric by understanding customer needs and their respective job duties. They will work to increase customer engagement by providing support to current and prospective customers by demonstrating dedication to quality, quantity and safety. This engineer will provide solutions by designing, developing, prototyping and testing functional product. This engineer will also see the robust design can be turned into efficiently manufacturable product for Matric. Design activities can include application or system level, hardware, analog, digital and possible software design. Testing activities may include prototyping, simulation, functional, reliability and agency verification tests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand customer technical applications and commercial needs.
  • Develop, or be capable of following, project plan requirements.
  • Design system level product, or detail subcomponents, integral in meeting requirements.
  • Utilize schematics and create bills of material for design of physical hardware.
  • Designs may include system, hardware, analog, digital, mechanical and software activities.
  • Mechanical packaging and label design often are required to fulfill product design.
  • The applicant can benefit by providing microcontroller software skills in Assembly or C.
  • Simulate at schematic stages and/or test the finished prototypes.
  • Testing involves operation to the project requirements and verification activities.
  • V/V tests include thermal, vibration or other environmental tests, as requested.
  • Tests may be conducted in house or contracted out with applicant supervision.
  • Knowledge is required for operating or learning to operate power supplies, function generators, DMMs, oscilloscopes, LCR, logic and spectrum analyzers, at minimum.
  • Analyze the test results and modify the design as needed.
  • Create and confirm documentation to procure parts and build product without variation.
  • Create detailed and concise testing procedures for production level associates.
  • Evolve learning customer's needs, applications, design techniques and learn from failure.
  • Supports the RFQ process by generating estimates for product and development costs.
  • Participates in field assignments with customers and potential customers when required.

Qualifications

  • BS and/or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc
  • Experience in digital and analog circuit design.
  • Experience in programming (appreciated.)
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of embedded designs typically acquired through a combination of experience and education.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to and work within assigned schedules
