Basic Function

Perform a variety of operational, development, and documentation activities in support of electrical hardware for all Brooks Instrument products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position.
  • Assemble, calibrate, and test electromechanical equipment (e.g. assembly, calibration and test fixtures)
  • Conduct tests and analysis for detailed and/or routine engineering assignments.
  • Supports operating and maintenance functions with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, problem identification, problem resolution activities.
  • Participate in Company continuous improvement and quality improvement initiatives.
  • In line with Brooks' zero accident safety policy, maintain and enhance department safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with Executives, Managers and co-workers in formal and informal settings.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • Completed at least 2 years of college with a curriculum focused in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • A desire to perform documentation activities including technical writing and drawing.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
  • Multi-tasking with a detail orientation and commitment to accountability in a fast-paced environment.
