Perform studies of power systems and electrical calculations for electrical systems, lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security, and other similar calculations. Develop white papers and technical documentation to support the firm's technical knowledge Management (TKM). Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Update design requirements as necessary. Contribute to the firm's technical knowledge management TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs). Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs. Attend conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff. Perform other duties as required. Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentor more junior staff and develop them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work. Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Keep all testers healthy and calibration valid. Conduct operation team to do FA and debug the failed products with technical skills and methods. Work with the team to solve all technical problems (for high voltage high power products) during manufacturing processes, keep the operation process moving smoothly. Mentor or coach any team members whoever are working in the team. Provide all document which operation team need, including TPI, PM, Rework Instructions, SBI, ECO and Deviations. Communicate with customers about the test data, tester status; solve all tester problems either independently or by working with the team. Present the problems which happen in the production to customers by writing or verbal professionally. The experience we're looking to add to our team, Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Minimum of 4 years of power distribution experience. Candidates must be able to understand electrical system diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and be able to perform troubleshooting in accordance with Test Engineer/Shift Test Engineer documentation when required. Able to understand PDC product structures, operation theory, functional test methods. Strong hand-on abilities, including HW test SW of test setups in production areas; able to setup all kinds of testers, for example, PI-800, 1600. Understand NETA and Schneider (HVHP) specifications; able to interpret HVHP device Block-Diagram, circuitry, and IEC-60320, 60309 standards. Strong knowledges in HVHP manufacturing processes and safety regulations and polices. Demonstrable knowledge of UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, UL 67 Panelboards, UL 857 Busway, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 62368/60950 Information Technology Equipment, as applicable. As a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • With general direction, create basic to highly complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other similar electrical systems.
  • Perform studies of power systems and electrical calculations for electrical systems, lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security, and other similar calculations.
  • Develop white papers and technical documentation to support the firm's technical knowledge Management (TKM).
  • Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Update design requirements as necessary.
  • Contribute to the firm's technical knowledge management TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs). Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
  • Attend conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentor more junior staff and develop them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
