Position Overview: The Electrical and Controls Engineer II provides Electrical Controls Engineering for the implementation of Capital Projects for JM's 24/7 manufacturing operation. The role will be responsible for developing, scoping, coordinating, justifying, implementing, and managing from start to finish a broad range of industrial electrical and control system manufacturing projects, including scope documents, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, project justifications, and project training and documentation for Johns Manville manufacturing facilities in North America. Your Day-to-Day: Ability to perform electrical control systems engineering for all aspects of projects with limited guidance. Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes projects. Assist the Corporate Electrical Group in review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards. Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives. Provide project management and oversight for all aspects and phases of more than one project assignment concurrently and responsible for driving projects to completion. Ensure compliance with technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projects. Maintain good communication with management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes. This role requires hands on troubleshooting of electrical and control systems Collaborate closely with the maintenance group to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and control issues. Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage supplier and contractor activities for all aspects of the project on and off site, including the commissioning, startup, and training for plant personnel. Develop bid request documentation, supplier lists, bid evaluations and make recommendations for purchasing. Manage overall project budget, forecasts, schedule, scope, deliverables, execution, and reporting to provide the expected benefits of the project to the organization. Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed. Provides support for remote manufacturing facilities to determine root cause failure analysis and development of corrective action plans. What You Bring to the Team: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology with a minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering in a continuous and/or discrete manufacturing environment. Demonstrated electrical and control system engineering capabilities. Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems. Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) along with communications within enterprise and control networked systems. Demonstrated project management skills Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace - arc flash energy and shock hazards. Orbital is seeking an Electrical Construction Coordinator who possesses Electrical Transmission or Distribution experience to join the Electric Services Construction Coordinator Program based in Eastern Pennsylvania. We are primarily seeking candidates who reside in the greater Philadelphia area, or eastern Pennsylvania at a minimum. The role will entail planning and coordinating construction activities for a designated project to ensure the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the project schedule and budget constraints by performing the duties listed below. Each Coordinator is assigned to one specific project for an extended period of time. The assigned project area can be located anywhere within the client's Electric Services territory. Projects are assigned to Coordinators based on geographical location, skill level, and experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: At all times, provide safety oversight in an effort to ensure compliance with all safety procedures at site. Report safety compliance issues and safety incidents to client's construction manager and Orbital supervisor. Work with construction supervision and on-site safety personnel to stop unsafe construction activities. Prior to construction, participate in construction activity planning, pre-construction drawing reviews, and overall constructability reviews. Inspect construction site and complete pre-construction checklist tasks. Ensure necessary permits (local, state, environmental, etc.) and site/job specific plans (environmental, safety, etc.) are in place, signed, and posted at the job site. During construction, inspect work to ensure that all safety and environmental policies are being followed and that the project is being constructed per the applicable specifications, drawings, and permits. Manage communication with construction crew(s), client project manager, and engineering to resolve all queries (Requests for Information or RFI's) that may inhibit construction progress. During construction, identify field-purchased material needs and communicate those needs to the client Construction Manager in writing. Order materials and rental equipment as necessary and coordinate deliveries. Inventory materials and identify shortages as the project progresses in order to prevent delays in schedule. During construction, prepare Daily Log Reports that indicate progression of project to outline deficiencies in schedule, track completed construction activities, highlight safety incidents, and monitor compliance of work with specifications/drawings. During construction, perform other miscellaneous duties including maintaining redline construction drawing markups, completing weekly safety audits, communicating scope changes, confirming utility locates, and signing crew timesheets. In general, occasionally climb ladders and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Minimum Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent 5 Years Relevant Construction / Maintenance Experience This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment. Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Attributes Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Similar Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Experience in Management Preferred May have a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical (preferred) construction / engineering but must at a minimum be familiar with construction prints/drawings. Pay Range

$96,900.00-$133,200.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Position Overview:

The Electrical and Controls Engineer II provides Electrical Controls Engineering for the implementation of Capital Projects for JM's 24/7 manufacturing operation. The role will be responsible for developing, scoping, coordinating, justifying, implementing, and managing from start to finish a broad range of industrial electrical and control system manufacturing projects, including scope documents, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, project justifications, and project training and documentation for Johns Manville manufacturing facilities in North America.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Ability to perform electrical control systems engineering for all aspects of projects with limited guidance.

  • Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes projects.

  • Assist the Corporate Electrical Group in review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards.

  • Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives.

  • Provide project management and oversight for all aspects and phases of more than one project assignment concurrently and responsible for driving projects to completion.

  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projects.

  • Maintain good communication with management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes.

  • This role requires hands on troubleshooting of electrical and control systems

  • Collaborate closely with the maintenance group to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and control issues.

  • Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage supplier and contractor activities for all aspects of the project on and off site, including the commissioning, startup, and training for plant personnel.

  • Develop bid request documentation, supplier lists, bid evaluations and make recommendations for purchasing.

  • Manage overall project budget, forecasts, schedule, scope, deliverables, execution, and reporting to provide the expected benefits of the project to the organization.

  • Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed.

  • Provides support for remote manufacturing facilities to determine root cause failure analysis and development of corrective action plans.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology with a minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering in a continuous and/or discrete manufacturing environment. Demonstrated electrical and control system engineering capabilities. Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems.
  • Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) along with communications within enterprise and control networked systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for
  • Electrical Safety in the Workplace - arc flash energy and shock hazards. Ability to manage and support multiple (1-3) projects simultaneously Demonstrated success managing projects $50k - $200k
  • Demonstrated capabilities in working collaboratively with internal and external engineering resources.
  • Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated drive and initiative to complete assigned tasks and investigate and seek out improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to design and execute projects within North America. Requires less than 20% travel.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the engineering and implementation of 480V (Switchgear, Power Distribution Panel, Motor Control Center) and 4160V Power Distribution Systems.
