THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team of professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of electrical systems and outstanding problem-solving skills, performing all necessary installations, maintenance, and repairs. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!) Experienced in the following: Commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems. Installation of all types of conduit. Use of electric and hydraulic benders. Installation of switchgear, transformers, and panelboards. Installation of interior and exterior lighting. Installation of standby power systems (generators, UPS). Knowledge of fire alarm, voice/data, and security system installation. Follow specifications on blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installations. Conduct all troubleshooting, repairs and installations in accordance with the National Electric Code. Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines. WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU Two to five years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman. At least five (5) years of electrical field experience. Knowledge of current code NFPA 70, 72, 101 and Florida building code. Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical projects. Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management. Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality. Valid driver’s license. Able to pass a background check and drug screening. Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications. Able to work independently. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude. Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills. Good computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office. THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

 
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team of professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of electrical systems and outstanding problem-solving skills, performing all necessary installations, maintenance, and repairs.  

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

  • Experienced in the following:  
  • Commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems. 
  • Installation of all types of conduit. 
  • Use of electric and hydraulic benders. 
  • Installation of switchgear, transformers, and panelboards. 
  • Installation of interior and exterior lighting. 
  • Installation of standby power systems (generators, UPS). 
  • Knowledge of fire alarm, voice/data, and security system installation.
  • Follow specifications on blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installations.
  • Conduct all troubleshooting, repairs and installations in accordance with the National Electric Code.
  • Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines. 
 
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
 
  • Two to five years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman.
  • At least five (5) years of electrical field experience. 
  • Knowledge of current code NFPA 70, 72, 101 and Florida building code.
  • Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical projects. 
  • Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management.
  • Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
