Key Responsibilities Embedded Electronics Design: Design electronic circuit boards consisting of MCUs, low and high-speed communication busses such as USB, Ethernet, MIPI, digital and analog interfaces, power distribution, EMI, and ESD circuits. Schematic and Layout PCB Design: Design PCB, Altium Designer preferred, for flight avionics, guidance systems, communication systems, and power distribution. Rapid Prototype Design and Testing: Rapidly construct prototypes using standard and application specific lab tools. Test and evaluate prototypes with standard and application specific test equipment to verify design integrity and performance. Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, CAD drawings, and product specifications for board and system designs. Quality Assurance: Design PCB boards and systems in accordance with Mach and industry quality standards. Collaborate with the quality team ensuring designs meet quality, reliability, and safety standards. Regulatory Compliance: Participate with the regulatory team to ensure all designs and processes meet industry, defense, and export control regulations. Collaboration: Partner with mechanical, system, test, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components, such as vehicle harnessing, into the overall design. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace. Proficiency in electrical design software such as Altium Designer or Cadence. Experience designing with high-performance MCUs, high-speed digital, analog, power, and interface ICs. Strong understanding of power systems, analog/digital electronics, and circuit design. Strong performance in schematic, layout, and stackup design for high-speed signals and power delivery. Preferred Qualifications Security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Familiarity with MIL-STD and other defense industry standards. Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping and testing. Ideal Candidate: A highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a focus on innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will excel in circuit design, embedded systems, and cross-functional collaboration. The E&I Mechanic will utilize strong knowledge of components and systems to maintain and repair electrical equipment including, but not limited to conveyors, pumps, motors, blowers, fans, compressors, etc. All duties must be performed in compliance with the established company, department, and safety policies and procedures. You will execute daily work assignments and ensure timely completion of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Portions of job require working with voltages up to 480V and under the guidance of NFPA 70E. Equipment (including but not limited to): PLCs, electrical control systems, instrumentation transmitters (flow, pressure, temperature, level), photo-eyes, ultrasonic sensors, motor starters, electric motors, variable frequency drives, uninterrupted power supplies, etc. Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do: Install electrical raceways (rigid conduit, electrical metallic tubing, cable tray, etc.) in accordance with the National Electrical Code Troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide effective repairs to all the components of Process Control Instrumentation loops (e.g., sensors, communications, control systems, etc.). Troubleshoot, diagnose, and effectively repair industrial electrical equipment. Service programmable controllers and distributed controls systems to assure reliable operation of processes. Identify problems in control systems per production request and personal observation, then implement the proper action to restore the system to standard operating conditions. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to defined schedules and procedures including routine calibration of instruments. Use area specific safety procedures and electrical safety rules to work on control equipment. Provide basic process automation support as needed. Participate in instrument & electrical reliability improvement activities as appropriate (e.g., spare parts list generation). Redline electrical drawings, engineering documentation and other technical specifications as necessary and work with the appropriate resources to update. Make recommendations and prepare orders for spare parts, additional stockroom items, tools, etc. Consult with supervisor and other mechanics on problem resolution/troubleshooting. Keep supervisor informed of problem issues. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Required: High School Diploma or GED Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience within the Electrical and Instrumentation field; OR a minimum 2-year technical degree within Electronics & Instrumentation; OR completion of a formal Instrument / Electrical Technician apprentice program. Willing and able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include safety equipment, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes. Key Responsibilities

  • Embedded Electronics Design: Design electronic circuit boards consisting of MCUs, low and high-speed communication busses such as USB, Ethernet, MIPI, digital and analog interfaces, power distribution, EMI, and ESD circuits.

  • Schematic and Layout PCB Design: Design PCB, Altium Designer preferred, for flight avionics, guidance systems, communication systems, and power distribution.

  • Rapid Prototype Design and Testing: Rapidly construct prototypes using standard and application specific lab tools. Test and evaluate prototypes with standard and application specific test equipment to verify design integrity and performance.

  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, CAD drawings, and product specifications for board and system designs.

  • Quality Assurance: Design PCB boards and systems in accordance with Mach and industry quality standards. Collaborate with the quality team ensuring designs meet quality, reliability, and safety standards.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Participate with the regulatory team to ensure all designs and processes meet industry, defense, and export control regulations.

  • Collaboration: Partner with mechanical, system, test, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components, such as vehicle harnessing, into the overall design.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace.

  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as Altium Designer or Cadence.

  • Experience designing with high-performance MCUs, high-speed digital, analog, power, and interface ICs.

  • Strong understanding of power systems, analog/digital electronics, and circuit design.

  • Strong performance in schematic, layout, and stackup design for high-speed signals and power delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD and other defense industry standards.

  • Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping and testing.

Ideal Candidate:

A highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a focus on innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will excel in circuit design, embedded systems, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience in the defense industry, particularly with weapons systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), is highly advantageous.
