About This Role 

At Kidde Global Solutions we are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Electrical Engineer This role can be located onsite at our location in Bradenton, FL.

In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer you will professional you will need a deep knowledge and have highly developed technical expertise.  You will directs activities in the discipline and represents the organization at external events. Evaluates operating systems, provides technical training, designs electronic components, and develops implementation schedules.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the modification, design and development of simple and complex analog and digital circuits for fire alarm products

  • Investigate the impact of proposed alternate sources for electronic components

  • Contribute technical insight towards DFMEA analysis of new and existing electrical designs

  • Modify existing designs to achieve compliance with updated industry regulations

  • Oversee and contribute to embedded system architecture and development

  • Perform advanced circuit analysis, validation, and optimization using simulation tools such as PSpice

  • Utilize electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) for system-level validation

  • Ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

  • Lead product certification and listing efforts (UL/ULC, FM, EN54, CCCF, etc.)

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize design for manufacturability (DFM)

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of Design and or Product Development experience

Or

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of Design and or Product Development experience

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design

  • Power supply design experience

  • Extensive experience in embedded system architecture and development

  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity principles

  • Experience designing and testing high-speed digital circuits and PCBs

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn from mistakes

  • Experience with firmware development for embedded processors

  • Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as PSpice

  • Strong background in networking or wireless communication technologies

  • Previous work in fire safety or other highly regulated industries

  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and reliability engineering
