Electrical Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Electrical Engineer to support electrical design activities for PAC-3 production, sustainment and capacity assurance contracts. You will join our Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL. We design, sustain, and upgrade next generation electronics concepts, and we support analog and digital circuit card assembly ( CCA ) design. Position Responsibilities: Develop detailed design solutions to component and part obsolescence issues. Generate engineering drawings and support hardware fabrication, integration, and testing. Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to the Continuous Emissions Motoring System (CEMS) as well as all facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation, which includes but is not limited to, transmitter flow devices, level controls, temperature measurement, and flue gas analysis equipment. Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, and tune/adjust, and make repairs, as needed to the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and historian devices. Troubleshoot/adjust/tune/repair a variety of systems and system controls to include electronic, digital, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic. Operate various calibration equipment and perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repair work as assigned. Work with other departments as needed to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems and complete all maintenance work records. Initiates and completes work-orders and requisitions and documents all critical and or pertinent information on a routine basis. Responds and reports to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required and scheduled for the on-call coverage. Follows standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards, and report them to the Shift Supervisor immediately. Strong understanding of electrical power equipment, National Electrical Code, and NFPA 70E. Ability to write and perform preventative maintenance tasks and update field reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electrical metering equipment. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50–75 pounds), stand and walk for extended periods, and safely work around hazardous voltages. Must pass an in-depth security background check. Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
