Prepare and grades examinations based upon course objectives and published exam schedule and returns all assignments in a timely manner. Implements evaluation for outcomes assessment, and achieves established results while maintaining ACI standards of student satisfaction. Works creatively in all classes taught to discourage student withdrawal and maintain satisfactory retention. Begin and end each class at the designated times, providing a full period of instruction. Leaves the classroom or laboratory clean, organized, and ready for the next user. Submits, at the designated time, final grades for all students on the class roster. Accurately maintains attendance records in accordance with the Attendance Policy, submits class roster daily, maintains a separate record of attendance and grades that is clearly labeled and turned in at the end of the term. Calls all students who are absent and submits written reports of pertinent information to the Program Director. Attends faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation and other college events as required by the College. Dresses professionally in accordance with faculty dress code if onsite. Demonstrate continuing professional development of technical expertise and as an instructor. Demonstrate leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a group Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Provide excellent customer service to our students Show Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Maintenance, testing, reconditioning, and repair of circuit breakers (low voltage 480V, medium voltage up to 15kV). Working with SF6-filled equipment and gas-insulated switchgear. Performing start-up, troubleshooting, and repair services on controls and transfer schemes. Participating in emergency on-call duty rotations and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner. Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week  Role: - Partner with Design, Engineering, and Research teams to identify and solve complex design and technological challenges. - Specifying components, building schematics, completing board layouts, assembling, testing, debugging, and integrating designs into opto-electro-mechanical systems - Collaborating in a team environment with cross-functional teams such as system engineering, architecture, product design, firmware engineering, NPI, and research. - Transforming vendor and internal reference designs into custom solutions - Ability to execute multiple streams of work simultaneously and independently balance and prioritize project workload to ensure success against timeline constraints Skills: - 4+ years of experience with system-level electrical design including circuit design, system bring-up, integration, and debug - Experience in several of the following topics: low-power circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods, audio circuit design, high-speed signals, and analog design - Experience with microcontrollers, digital circuit design, and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc. - Experience with mixed-signal board-level design. - Hands-on experience with debugging and related equipment (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers, etc.) - Strong collaborator, with excellent communication skills with experience with cross-team and cross-geography collaboration. - Experience with design development from schematic capture, and PCB layout through assembly. - Experience with Altium or Cadence design tools. - Experience working with firmware/software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers, and algorithms. Preferred Skills : - 7+ years of end-to-end integrated product development experience, including early-stage conceptual design, detailed design for manufacturing and assembly, late-stage mass production experience, and overseas manufacturing and assembly. - Experience leading a multidisciplinary product engineering team, with oversight into mechanical, electrical, and firmware workstreams and integration between disciplines. - Systems-level engineering experience with complex integrated electromechanical assemblies. - Experience integrating RF technologies such as WIFI, BT, GPS, etc. - Experience with cameras and optical systems. - Experience with Android/Linux systems. - Experience leading and driving design development from schematic capture, and PCB layout through assembly. - Experience with programming in C/C++ for development, debugging, testing, and performance analysis. - Experience with programming in Python for data collection and analysis. - Demonstrated domain knowledge in computing & systems development, proven track record in building advanced technology & product development. Education: BSCSE or related. Job Description

Primary responsibility in this position will be to provide theory classroom instruction as well as practical
application of lessons taught following a prescribed curriculum.

As an Instructor, you will:

  • Teaches the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog and relates the instruction to careers and employer expectations.
  • Create and maintain an environment that is safe and conducive to learning and teaching.
  • Manage student activities and ensure implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Maintain classroom equipment through on-going inspection, evaluation and maintain inventory current for needed repairs.
  • Participate in the curriculum evaluation to ensure it remains current and relevant to meet industry expectations.
  • Distribute the syllabus to each student at the first scheduled class session.
  • Prepare and grades examinations based upon course objectives and published exam schedule and returns all assignments in a timely manner.
  • Implements evaluation for outcomes assessment, and achieves established results while maintaining ACI standards of student satisfaction.
  • Works creatively in all classes taught to discourage student withdrawal and maintain satisfactory retention.
  • Begin and end each class at the designated times, providing a full period of instruction.
  • Leaves the classroom or laboratory clean, organized, and ready for the next user.
  • Submits, at the designated time, final grades for all students on the class roster.
  • Accurately maintains attendance records in accordance with the Attendance Policy, submits class roster daily, maintains a separate record of attendance and grades that is clearly labeled and turned in at the end of the term.
  • Calls all students who are absent and submits written reports of pertinent information to the Program Director.
  • Attends faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation and other college events as required by the College.
  • Dresses professionally in accordance with faculty dress code if onsite.
  • Demonstrate continuing professional development of technical expertise and as an instructor.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a group
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Provide excellent customer service to our students
  • Show Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 
  • Journeyman Electrician license required
  • Ability to evaluate, design, and implement curriculum, testing, and/or teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum, and education programs.
  • Teaching and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to teach and control the behavior of students.
  • Knowledge of academic and/or vocational education curricula.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
