Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality. Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade program. Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead. What You’ll Need Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions. Solid Construction skills and understanding of system plans. Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support). Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications. Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.). Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.   • Work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. May assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers.  Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
  • Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
  • Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.
  • Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance. Observe and practice Convergint Quality Standards.
  • Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
  • Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade program.
  • Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead.

 

What You’ll Need 

  • Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
  • Solid Construction skills and understanding of system plans.
  • Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
  • Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Requirements: 

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
