Responsibilities: Developing and testing of communication systems incorporating digital, analog, fiber optic and free space optic components, electro-optic modulators, lasers and photo-detectors Circuit design primarily for mechanisms and control systems (moving stages, steering mirrors, gimbals, etc) Designing electronic hardware from schematic capture through PCB layout and into production Collaborating with software/hardware/systems engineers to define hardware requirements Debugging hardware in the laboratory utilizing basic laboratory tools and advanced tools (Spectrum Analyzer, protocol analyzer, etc.) as needed Integrating electrical, mechanical, optical and software components to build systems for proof of concept designs Qualifications: Required: BSEE or MSEE in Electrical or Computer Engineering 2+ years of work experience leading hardware designs from concept through volume production Experience designing electronics for space environments (thermal, power, radiation, etc) Experience simulating, designing, implementing, and testing both digital and analog electronic circuits Experience in high-speed digital design, timing analysis, controlled impedance, worst-case analysis Solid hands-on and laboratory skills to support initial bring up, I&T and performance characterization Proficiency with OrCAD Schematic Capture, familiarity with Allegro PCB Editor Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and self-directed, requiring little supervision Must be a US Citizen Desired: Design background in telecommunication systems Experience working with modern software development Experience in FPGA design (schematic capture, system verilog) Experience with optics and/or fiber optics _ ____ What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. DPR Construction is seeking an electrical estimator/senior estimator with 7 -20 years of experience on commercial construction projects. The electrical estimator will create estimates for commercial projects within our core markets: healthcare, advanced technology, bio-pharmaceutical and corporate office. The electrical estimators will work closely with the Orlando regional management team and all members of pre-construction estimating team. This individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Conceptual budgeting.
  • Design development through construction document estimating (quantification and pricing).
  • Interaction with subcontractor community.
  • Presentation of estimates/budgets with owners/consultants.
  • Preparation and analysis (scoping) of electrical bid packages.

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective participation in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Timberline and On-Screen Take off a plus.
  • 7-20 years of experience as a commercial construction electrical estimator within DPR's core market projects.
  • Bachelor's degree a plus but not required.
  • A strong work ethic and a "can-do," solution-oriented attitude.
