Job Description

Who we are

Picogrid is a leading venture-backed defense technology company founded to bridge the decades-long gap between modern technology and the critical demands of national security. Today, we're building the essential infrastructure to unify sensors, autonomy, and operators with our technology deployed in active operations around the world. Our mission is to deliver an operational advantage to secure the United States and its allies.

  • Deep understanding of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, power electronics, and common electronic components. Proven experience in schematic capture and PCB design for high-reliability applications (aerospace, defense, or similar industries preferred).

  • Proficiency in PCB design software (KiCAD or Altium preferred), circuit simulation (LTSpice preferred), and testing tools (oscilloscopes, DMM, bench power supplies, data loggers).

  • Expertise in power electronics design, PCIE, USB-C 3.2, Ethernet, and POE.

  • Growth mindset, results-oriented focus, and proficiency in leveraging modern tools to maximize productivity.

  • Ability to interpret and apply design specifications, datasheets, and technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Embedded Engineering, STM32, FreeRTOS, C/C++, Rust.

  • Familiarity with git and CAD (OnShape preferred).

  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or other high-reliability hardware, and designing systems for environmental robustness (temperature, vibration, ingress protection).

  • Comfort supporting end-to-end system deployment, including in field settings.

Benefits

  • Salary: $180,000 - $220,000

  • Meaningful equity

  • 401(k) with employer matching.

  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Relocation assistance provided.

  • Unlimited PTO (two-week minimum) and 11 paid holidays per year.

  • Paid parental leave for both parents.

  • Complimentary in-office lunch and fully stocked kitchenette.

  • Free EV charging when working on-site.
