Veeco is growing and looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join our team in Horsham, PA. In this role, you will help design, troubleshoot, and support electrical control systems and AC power distribution for our advanced semiconductor processing equipment. You will work closely with mechanical, software, and process engineers throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept to release to field support, making a direct impact on the tools that enable everything from smartphones to AI. This is a primarily onsite role with some hybrid flexibility (1-2days/week) depending on project activity requirements). Responsibilities: Support Engineer-To-Order (ETO), sustaining, and continuous improvement projects for complex capital equipment. Design and modify electrical schematics, control system layouts, and wiring diagrams. Specify and integrate power and control components, including circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, and interlocks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Process, Manufacturing, Operations, Field Service) to define product development requirements and resolve technical issues. Troubleshoot and support electrical systems during build, test, and production phases. Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation through the Veeco ECO process. Ensure compliance with industry operating and safety standards, including SEMI, UL, and CE. Assist in developing test plans and release documents for new features and designs. Qualifications: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of related experience; or MS Degree with no experience is required. Experience designing for capital equipment systems is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting, analog/digital circuits, and power distribution. Knowledge of safety interlock systems, regulatory requirements & safety standards, (e.g., TUV, Intertek, UL, CE). Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage complex projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Experience with SAP or a similar ERP systems. Experience with EMI/ESD, OrCAD, or PSpice is a plus. TEST OPERATIONS ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN I/II Based out of Rocket Lab's Test Facility at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, the Test Operations Electrical Technician is responsible for helping build and operate critical test facilities to support the Archimedes rocket engine and the Neutron launch vehicle. You will become skilled in Test Operations roles and be expected to work in collaboration with a team of other technicians and engineers in support of the overall test facility design, build, activation and engine test efforts. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Build facility systems including computer and other IT systems, data acquisition hardware, control system and PLC hardware, instrumentation, wiring, conduit, cameras, communication, etc Bring your specialized skill and experience to specific areas of the facility to help build the best possible test facility systems Be personally responsible for your safety and for those around you Use knowledge and skills to build electrical systems that adhere to standards of integrity and cleanliness Work hands on with check out, calibration and functional testing of instrumentation and control systems for high pressure and cryogenic fluid systems involving valves, regulators, flow meters and other plumbing elements Setup a new shop starting with an empty high bay. Veeco is growing and looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join our team in Horsham, PA. In this role, you will help design, troubleshoot, and support electrical control systems and AC power distribution for our advanced semiconductor processing equipment. You will work closely with mechanical, software, and process engineers throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept to release to field support, making a direct impact on the tools that enable everything from smartphones to AI.

This is a primarily onsite role with some hybrid flexibility (1-2days/week) depending on project activity requirements).

Responsibilities:

  • Support Engineer-To-Order (ETO), sustaining, and continuous improvement projects for complex capital equipment.
  • Design and modify electrical schematics, control system layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Specify and integrate power and control components, including circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, and interlocks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Process, Manufacturing, Operations, Field Service) to define product development requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and support electrical systems during build, test, and production phases.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation through the Veeco ECO process.
  • Ensure compliance with industry operating and safety standards, including SEMI, UL, and CE.
  • Assist in developing test plans and release documents for new features and designs.

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of related experience; or MS Degree with no experience is required.

Experience designing for capital equipment systems is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting, analog/digital circuits, and power distribution.
  • Knowledge of safety interlock systems, regulatory requirements & safety standards, (e.g., TUV, Intertek, UL, CE).
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage complex projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP systems.
