Previous experience with energization and switching of electrical equipment. Knowledgeable of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Experience with Lock-Out/Tag Out (LOTO). Understanding of one-line diagrams and schematics. Ability to review equipment submittals. NFPA 70E Trained. OSHA 30. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Job Description Job Title: Electrical Engineer Department: Technical Services Reports to: Technical Services Manager Location: Florence AZ Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and instrumentation used in the Solvent Extraction and Electrowinning (SX/EW) plant and wellfield. This includes overseeing power distribution systems, motors, control systems (PLC/SCADA), and ensuring electrical compliance with safety regulations and production targets. The engineer plays a key role in ensuring plant reliability, efficiency, and availability by working closely with maintenance and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and Maintenance: Design, review, and maintain electrical systems including MCCs, transformers, switchgear, and motor protection systems. Oversee the operation and maintenance of SX/EW and wellfield specific equipment such as rectifiers, electrolytic cells, pump motors, and agitation systems. Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in the SX/EW and wellfield upgrades or expansions. Automation and Control: Maintain and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA, and HMI interfaces. Provide technical reports and recommendations to management. Minimum Qualifications & Education: Bachelor's degree or 6 years' experience in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. As an electrical engineer at Rainmaker, you will work with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and novel in-situ measurement technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of cutting-edge UAS platforms and innovative sensing applications.

What You'll Do

    • Develop novel sensing paradigms and lead the electrical integration of our UAS
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, controls, and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration
    • Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and iterative design improvements
    • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards
    • Document design processes, test results, and performance data
