Overview
Job Description
- Perform electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
- Diagnose electrical problems using meters, testing equipment, and proper troubleshooting techniques.
- Install, repair, replace, and maintain electrical components and equipment.
- Troubleshoot lighting, controls, circuits, breakers, panels, motors, and other electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Identify materials and equipment required to complete service work.
- Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls when required.
- Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, time records, and documentation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding electrical issues and completed work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all OSHA, NEC, DKD Enterprises safety policies, and jobsite requirements.
- Maintain and properly care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager, Project Managers, General Superintendents, and other field personnel as needed.
- Identify additional work or potential electrical issues and communicate findings to management.
- Represent DKD Enterprises professionally when interacting with customers and other contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
- New Mexico electrical license or appropriate electrical certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Experience with commercial and industrial electrical equipment and systems.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work safely in a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver electrical materials and equipment as required.
- Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to take ownership of assigned work.
