Job Description

Electrical Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Researches, designs, develops, tests, or supervises the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Employs knowledge of electrical theory and materials properties. Applies specific functional knowledge and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with prototyping and development of electronic systems such as power systems or batteries

  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, C, C++, and MATLAB

  • Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze results

  • Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of product design for manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, and exposure to extreme environments

  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts, results, and technical information to internal and external audiences and technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
