The services to be provided consist of providing construction inspection related services in support of Public Works administered road, bridge, flood control, sewer, water, traffic signal, or airport improvement construction projects or in support of permitted activities in the Road and Flood Control District rights of way located throughout Los Angeles County.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Current International Code Council (ICC) Electrical certificate.
Roles and Responsibilities:All electrical inspectors should be certified electricians.
  • Performs inspections on the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and digital systems of traffic signals, highway lighting, booster pump station, sewage treatment plants, storm drain pump station, CDS units, low flow diversion, water disinfection plants and water well pump and electrical panels, and related systems.
  • Must be able to monitor electrical work in a pump station, sewage treatment plant, water booster pump station, and all electrical panels related to dam water valve operations. Typical inspections include installation of traffic signal and lighting conduits, pull boxes, wiring, concrete foundations, standards, signal heads, controller cabinets and traffic signal detector loops, major electrical services and gear such as those for industrial or commercial use including pump stations, spreading grounds and dams.
  • Must be able to read and understand complex project plans and specifications, ensure that code requirements and safe work practices are followed, prepare reports, and maintain accurate inspection records.
Compensation: $70,000.00 per year
