Partners closely with the Project Manager to ensure labor projections are accurate and the project is adhering to the schedule. Leads the development of comprehensive project plans, incorporating all requirements, constraints, and opportunities. Strategically develops Field Superintendents and Foreman by mentoring and holding them accountable to their managerial responsibilities. Builds rapport with each customer by displaying integrity, honesty and transparency while mitigating risks and upholding contracts. Qualifications Working knowledge of all aspects of construction and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities. Ability to multi-task, collaborate with others, set priorities, and take initiative. Demonstrated success supporting a team through complex project execution. Experience leading project teams and holding them accountable to project goals. Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation skills are a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. OSHA-30 card is required for this role. Training can be provided upon hire. DESCRIPTION: As a Project Electrical Engineer at Black Construction, the successful applicant will be assigned to implement the electrical engineering requirements of either private / commercial, military installation. He/ She will be based in Guam but will work on different projects for Guam, Micronesia, and Diego Garcia. The Electrical Engineer will be tasked with the following (but not limited to): Coordinate and supervise the timely and proper preparation of required electrical plans and specifications prior to implementation of works. Procure electrical materials and equipment needed for the project and ensure they delivery is based on the project program schedule. Prepare and study technical drawings, specification of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and requirements. Anticipates requirements to support the field operation during the construction stage. Ensures a close coordination and interaction of different trades for speedy and effective execution of works. Monitors the progress of electrical works to ensure all works have been completed and able to meet target schedule and budget. Prepares correspondence to the concerned parties regarding information, clarification and/or decisions that require immediate resolution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel software, computer aided design CAD software (is a plus) Abilities in problem sensitivity, oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression and near vision are essential. Abilities in estimating the quantifiable characteristics of products and information is essential. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, persistence and stress tolerance are required work styles. Trouble shooting, complex problem solving, critical thinking using logic and reasoning and reading comprehension is essential. The Embedded Systems Engineer II will collaborate with global Engineering and Operations teams to apply a platform use approach to all new designs while gathering and implementing design considerations for use in multiple product categories. Responsibilities

  • Ensures corporate safety and quality plans are aligned with project-specific requirements and is implemented throughout the duration of the project.
  • Responsible for job site safety and work closely with the Safety team to ensure project safety plans align with Corbins, the customers and industry standards.
  • Supports Foreman and Field Superintendents directly to ensure their responsibilities are met.
  • Responsible for the quality of all site production while working closely with the QA/QC department to develop the project QA/QC execution plans.
  • Drive a strong working relationship with Safety, Virtual Construction, QA/QC, and Human Resources to ensure the project team is operating at its full capacity and maintaining Corbins’ policies.
  • Partners closely with the Project Manager to ensure labor projections are accurate and the project is adhering to the schedule.
  • Leads the development of comprehensive project plans, incorporating all requirements, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Strategically develops Field Superintendents and Foreman by mentoring and holding them accountable to their managerial responsibilities.
  • Builds rapport with each customer by displaying integrity, honesty and transparency while mitigating risks and upholding contracts.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of all aspects of construction and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
  • Ability to multi-task, collaborate with others, set priorities, and take initiative.
  • Demonstrated success supporting a team through complex project execution.
  • Experience leading project teams and holding them accountable to project goals.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation skills are a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA-30 card is required for this role. Training can be provided upon hire.
