Job Description As a Senior Electrical Designer on our Data Center team, you will work collaboratively with engineers and other technicians on the team using CAD software to create plans and perform design work. You will also contribute to project production sheets by adding dimension/layout plans and title/detail sheets. You may also travel occasionally to job sites for observation, and/or field work, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions. What You’ll Need Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions. Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans. Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support). Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications. Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.). Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
